Story
Hippo is a 6yr old little brick potato! She’s always happy and ready for an adventure. She is the perfect passenger princess, is housebroken, crate trained (although she doesn’t need it), fully vetted and does well with other dogs her size. Little dogs and cats are a no. She is not high energy, but is always excited to make new friends. She was rescued from an orange grove as a puppy and was even featured on The Dodo a few years ago as her recovery story is incredible. Healthy, happy and loved - life just has a way of throwing us curve balls now and then and Hippo needs a new family to continue her adventures with.

Story
Minnie is approximately 2 years old. She is an amazing dog, sweet, loving, great with anyone she meets and adores kids but she needs to be in a home with no other animals as she has dominance issues and wants to be the alpha. She did attack my dog unprovoked which is unfortunately leading me to find her a new home.

Story
Wilbur is estimated to be about 13 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. He's neutered, up to date on all vaccines and preventions and heartworm negative. He has beautiful house manners and walks nicely on a leash. Wilbur was adopted from our county shelter about a year ago and was left to live in a box under a porch. His skin was in terrible shape, eyes were horribly infected and he was in very sad condition. A welfare check had been performed and his owners reached out to us and asked if they could surrender. We jumped right in and said yes!! Wilbur was missing most of the hair on his back. We got him straight to the vet and through a lot of meds, supplements and baths, Wilbur's skin is looking and feeling much better! And his hair is growing back. Wilbur is a sweet, calm old man who's favorite activity is napping. He makes an amazing lap dog and is super friendly with everyone he meets. Wilbur is dog friendly, preferring calm, submissive dogs like himself. Cats are unknown. Wilbur enjoys chewing bones, sunbathing and cuddling. Older children would be preferred for sweet Wilbur. Wilbur is looking for his forever retirement home, one that will not only loves him, but keep him healthy. Wilbur's skin will likely require maintenance going forward but the hard part is done!! Don't miss out on this sweet, sweet boy ***EMAIL INQUIRIES DIRECTLY TO LOVETOTHERESCUEINC@GMAIL.COM *** travel time for adoption should not exceed 1.5 hours from Spring Hill, 34610

Story
Maddie is a lucky gal who loves belly rubs, carrots, and attention. She can entertain herself but prefers people, cuddles, toys, and treats. She is crate trained, house trained, spayed and up to date on all her vaccines. She does not mind dressing up in costumes and clothes. Maddie travels well and loves to ride in the car. She is a powerful, high-energy dog. Maddie would do best in the home of an experienced handler and without small pets or young children. She can and has lived with other larger dogs successfully but Maddie lacks confidence and can be reactive. Continued vigilance, training, and proper introductions are necessary for a positive outcome. Maddie had a rough start in life. She was in a high kill shelter on euthanasia day with her puppies when she was saved. Maddie is a fun-loving dog who will enhance your life! Apply to adopt at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUVR/Dog All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Are you looking for a seasoned playmate who loves to cuddle just as much as he loves to tug? That's ME, Chester, a charming 8-year-old pup with a heart full of love and a spirit that's as playful as a puppy's! I am the epitome of a lifelong learner. I adore picking up new tricks and skills, making me an ideal companion for anyone eager to teach and bond with their furry friend. Whether it's learning something that makes you smile or exploring a new trail, I am always up for an adventure. When I'm not busy learning, my favorite pastime is playtime! I am a tug-of-war aficionado and will gladly challenge you to a friendly game. My enthusiasm is infectious, and my joy for playtime will surely bring a smile to your face. Despite my playful nature, I have a softer side too. I absolutely adore cuddling up next to my favorite humans, where I feel safest and happiest. My affection knows no bounds, and I'm always ready to shower my family with love. It's important to note that I also embrace my sensitive side. I am a little wary of storms and fireworks, so a comforting environment during loud noises will help me feel secure and calm.
