Story
Big Dog is a gentle giant with a big personality. Some of her favorite activities include lying around, using other dogs as pillows, staring at you, and sleeping. She is pretty lazy but enjoys cuddles and thinks she is a lap dog. She is turning 9 years old this year but doesn't show it. She has lived in a home with 6 other dogs, is crate-trained, and is not often food-aggressive (she has been able to be fed outside of a crate with other non-aggressive dogs). She is very playful and enjoys tug-of-war either with you or other dogs. She does well on car rides and a leash. She would most likely do well in a relaxed home with periodic exercise.

Story
Shadow is a rescue. He turned 5 years old in February. I’ve had him for 4 years now and he’s such a smart boy. He has an amazing, goofy personality and is so great at showing it. Unfortunately, I’m always working and have a move coming up soon. I can’t give him the time and attention that he needs and that’s not fair to him. He does also separation anxiety. He needs a home that understands that anxiety in a dog and is willing to work with him. He is so very worth it. He loves to learn and picks up on things so easily. He’s great on a gentle lead leash. I also have a harness that he loves to pull in, if you are up for doing those sorts of exercises with him. He’s great to jog with. He also knows how to run next to a bike. If you have a route, he will learn it. He doesn’t chase squirrels and small animals, he’s just not a fan of cats(I’m not sure of his prior history with them). He’s great with kids and doesn’t get frustrated with how touchy or sometimes rough they can be.

Story
Chief was born 12/28/23 on accident when his owners dog was unknowingly pregnant. She asked if we could take on chief and we thought we could, but with a new baby and another dog, it began to be too much in our smaller home. Chief was blood tested, he is a Pitbull Terrier, Boxer, and Mastiff mix. He is a very sweet pup, just not the right time for my family.

Story
Annie Grace is a high energy 6 year old girl and weighs 60 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations. Annie Grace does take a little bit to warm up to new situations, but once she understands she is safe, you will see an amazing transformation. Chewing an antler and chasing birds and squirrels are some of her favorite things. She also enjoys the attention of her human and will do anything for a belly rub. Annie Grace needs a home where she can be an only pet. Annie Grace has recently graduated from basic training and knows sit, down and all the other commands that will make her the perfect companion. She comes with follow-up sessions with her trainer at their facility in Cumming/Gainesville. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! As soon as he sees me, his tail wags, he literally smiles, and looks at me lovingly with those beautiful brown eyes. I look forward to these walks as much as he does. Sue S. (Furkids Volunteer)
