Story
Sweet Lindy is a poodle with a past. This poor girl was found completely matted, taken to an overcrowded shelter, heartworm positive, scared, and then dumped again by her shelter foster home. When she was found she was defeated, but quickly became ready to love again. Lindy is a gentle, loving and friendly girl that wants a forever home. She would love a lifestyle where she can go for walks and explore the neighborhood, followed by a cuddle session. Regular grooming is an absolute must for this girl- she can never be matted again after all that she's been through. Lindy is part way through heartworm treatment (not contagious). We will oversee the remainder of her treatment at our vet in Meridian and cover the cost. Spay, microchip, and current vaccines all included in her adoption fee. Please start with the adoption application: freedomboundhounds.com/adopt

Story
Molly was separated from her litter mates after all were given away to various individuals. She landed in foster care due to circumstances beyond her control. Molly is currently working on potty training and commands. She has had her first shots. Molly is very sweet and likes to cuddle. Word was that both of her parents were pitty. She may have some Rottweiler as well but without a DNA test, her exact breed mix is not certain. She has been microchipped.

Story
Stoli has a gentle, affectionate nature and adores attention. He gets along well with other dogs, but due to his previous emaciated condition, he can be food-aggressive. To set him up for success, he should be fed separately, and treats should be avoided around other dogs. This house-trained, kennel-trained boy is a joy to have around and listens well when asked to go to his kennel. Stoli doesn’t seem to have a prey drive, although his interactions with cats are unknown. If you’re home during the day and able to provide 3-4 meals daily to help him continue gaining weight, Stoli could be a perfect fit for you! He’s ready to soak up all the love and care you have to offer. If you’re ready to help this sweet guy flourish, Stoli will reward you with love.

Story
Ella the hippo! This chonky girl knows no strangers, she loves everyone she meets! Ella has spent the past few months in foster care after ending up in an overcrowded shelter where she was almost euthanized for space. Ella is middle aged, gets along well with other dogs, and is super sweet with every person she meets. Ella would benefit from a family that takes her for walks, and has a good amount of chill time at home. She's a go-with-the-flow type girl. Ella is with our rescue partner in Laredo, Texas, and will be transported to Idaho, Washington, Oregon, or Montana when she has a home waiting. There are no extra fees added. You can see an adorable video of Ella on her Petfinder profile. Spay, microchip, and current vaccines all included in her adoption fee. Story
My name is Daisy as in Daisy Mae Duke. I’m pretty enough to be the homecoming queen and tough enough to whip the tailback. I like cuddles, quiet time, and have learned that I DO like toys and treats. I am faster and more agile than my dog-brothers. I arrived at my foster’s house so shut-down that I wouldn't eat food or take treats. After a couple weeks of quiet time and sleep, I started to rebuild trust. I’m learning from my dog-brothers how to behave and be a part of a family. I never knew life could be this good. I never have accidents in the house. I am house trained, so long as I know where to go outside. I sit by the door to tell you I need outside. I enjoy sunning outside and don’t prefer the rain or cold. I can be trusted out of my crate and by myself for a couple hours, but don't leave shoes or toys on the floor, I need toys that are my own. I’m not a barker. I’m happy to lounge quietly or play chase outside. I can walk on a leash and am gaining confidence. Some might call me a shy girl, but I have a spunky side behind this shyness. Kids don’t bother me; I live with an 11 and 8 year old. I have always been gentle with kids as young as 5. I’d be happiest in a home with another animal to show me the ropes. Despite my rough start I know there is still a happily ever after waiting for me. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Meet Polly! Polly-Anna, Polly Pocket, Polly Pittie, Polly-wog, the cheeky nicknames are endless! And the names are all as cute and sweet as she is. If you are looking for quiet companionship and playful charm, this lovable lady is ready, waiting, and available. Fall in love with Polly here: Estimated to be around 8 or 9 years old and weighing about 50 pounds, Polly is the perfect example of mellow maturity. While we think she might be a pittie mix—maybe with a touch of Lab—her true breed and exact age is anyone’s guess, but what we do know is she’s 100% lovable, huggable, good girl. Don’t let her age fool you, though—Polly still gets the zoomies now and then and will happily share a playful moment before curling up next to you for cuddles. Polly is fortunate to be waiting for her adoption day in the home of a loving foster. This is wonderful for so many reasons. This gives us a front-row seat to the day to day girl Polly is while she gets to learn and enjoy the rhythm of home life. So far we know she loves cuddles on the couch, is very adoring of her person, enjoys standing in a baby pools to cool her paws, and will gently carry around a toy in her mouth. Her foster mom has shared, she’s a dream in her crate, settling in quietly without barking or whining. On top of everything else, she loves a car ride with the wind in her face! Polly would thrive in a calm, quiet home with a family who understands her laid-back nature. She’s happy to take short walks or enjoy a little time outdoors, but she doesn’t need a yard to be happy. Even though Polly is good on leash and redirects easily when needed, she would love suburb or country life over anything else. As we all age, the quiet life becomes the dream life! Polly gets along well with other dogs, but as a mature lady, she appreciates calm companions who respect her relaxed vibe. When introduced to new dogs she calmly shared space with small interactions here and there. Overall, its easy to see the Polly is for the people and will be more than happy as a solo-dog. A cat-free home would also be ideal, but Polly has done wonderful with everything else, enjoying kids and car-rides Polly is an easy, lovable dog who asks for little but gives so much in return. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
