Story
Luv-Bug is a toy-loving, tug-of-war champion. Her championship status is currently only recognized within Three Little Pitties but she is looking to take on more opponents, specifically from the PNW to New England. Luv-Bug is a tri-paw’d and honestly it is such an afterthought because it does not effect her at all. In fact, I'll say it, if she had all four legs she would be the world champion at tug-of-war, but I think she is meant for the home life anyway. I'll give you a little head start to her heart- the rope-ball combo is her favorite! A plain rope toy is fine, a ball is also good, together they are everything she could ever want. Watching her play is so fun! Another thing you should know- touch is her love language! Snuggles on the couch or bed are her fave but only if you invite her, which we sure hope you do, for your sake. Those are the best moments. If you have a garden you enjoy spending time in, LuvBug is going to be the best company! She has an eye for the little critters, frogs and lizards mostly, and she doesn’t want to hurt them just boop them if she can. You will not have to entertain her, outside she is content to explore and look for critters or throw her toy around. Its a pretty cute sight when she is “grazing” in the yard. The grass and sunshine make her genuinely so happy and you can see it! We introduced Luv-Bug to other dogs and she was a great playmate! Her energy is fun loving, with chase being her favorite way to play. A friendly, playful dog who understands the importance of taking long breaks in the shade, would be a great fit for Luv Bug. The love doesn’t stop with dogs, people are where her heart truly lives. Be prepared to have conversations with new people when you are out with her. She is magnetic and loves it, there are no strangers in her world. And don’t worry, walks are no trouble at all for her. She is great on leash, though she is still learning how it all feels now which can look a bit awkward in small moments, that is temporary and with you by her side she will learn that much faster. An ideal home for Luv-Bug has only one “restriction” she isn’t a cat girl. I heard she got swatted so bad as a puppy she could never get over it. Either way, she tries to chase them and that kind of chaos has no place in a home. Small thing given all the fun and love this girl will bring to your life. If you're looking for an all around fun loving good-girl, Luv-Bug is available and adoptable. Love aplenty, memories galore, and so many adventures await with this girl. Make her yours! Story
Finally, a Cheesecake you can enjoy with no guilt! This oreo girl is giving mini-cow meets couch potato, with a love of booty scratches, treats, and the slow easy life. Connection came fast and easy when we met Cheesecake. She comes in close for love and kisses and has these sparkly adoring eyes that made, at least me, feel real special. She is estimated to be about 3 years old, which is a sweet spot if you like the laid-back energy of a dog who is just outside of those teenage puppy years. With rescue, age and breed are something we can only make an educated guess on but his personality doesn’t leave us guessing- she is a happy girl with some bully breed mixed in! Thanks to her size and calm, easy-going nature, Cheesecake is a great fit for a variety of homes whether that means apartment, condo, or house with a yard. She will need to polish up her leash skills, she has the basics but with a handful of treats and a little practice she is going to be golden! If you have a home with a yard, this girl will be a cute addition, more of the stretched-out sleeping kind but cute none-the-less. A little patch of grass, a spot of sun, and the chance to wander around with you while you garden or lounge by your side while you read is the dream life. If she is already this happy, we can only imagine how she is going to flourish in a loving home with a person, or a few, of her very own. Cheesecake could easily live with another dog, preferably with the stamina of a mature dog, you know the type- a little play but a lot more lazy but she is also up for the role of your one-and-only. Maybe a feline friend? She wasn’t pushy at all when we she met our house-cat Tom but in a home she would likely try to chase a feline friend so we would prefer a cat-free home to avoid the chaos So if you are ready for an adoring, gorgeous, easy-going, lovable itty-bitty beef-cake Cheesecake, her she is! If you have any questions about Cheesecake the adoption process or would like us to test for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email michelleboswell@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Look at this girl! I personally am a sucker for dogs with resting sad face and Vienna absolutely has one of the cutest! Maybe she learned you get more treats if you look sad, or people offer a little more love to win your heart when you look a sad, whatever the reason, she knows it is working. This girl had me absolutely fawning over her. Look at her then come back to read more about her! With rescue we can never know a dogs breed or age with full confidence but we believe Vienna is 1.5 years old and is some type of pit bull mix but honestly, she looks like a few types all mixed in there. She currently weighs 70 lbs and is fully grown. Viennas favorite thing in the whole world is to be outside! She loves her foster parents swimming pool and just hanging out in the sunshine! We don’t know Vienna’s back story but we are happy to be part of her story moving forward. Found as a stray in a great neighborhood, it sure seems like this girl has been loved in this lifetime. For the next chapter of her life Vienna is looking for a home with another medium to large dog(s), older kids (she is a bit big and easily knocks over little ones) so 10 + is ideal, and a yard. She is house and crate trained! She loves to really bounce around when she plays and because of her healthy size, a home with a yard would be best. Vienna is working on her leash skills but is learning quickly. Speaking of learning quickly, this girl is super treat motivated so if you have a little time and a handful of treats, this girl will learn the basics and a few party tricks with no problem. Vienna can be slow to warm up to the occasional person while also falling hard and fast for others, but all around, she is a friendly and loving dog. Now that I think of it, aren't we all the same way. She has all the makings of a perfect hang-out girlie. I can see the backyard barbecues, football watching parties, and marathon sessions of your favorite reality tv show with her by your side. Vienna is ready for a love connection and hopefully it is with you! Email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions! 🐾 Meet Piper, the irresistible 2-year-old possible pittie mix, who's as much a foodie as she is a lover of cuddles! With her fabulous smile and unique markings, Piper's expressive, deep soulful eyes will melt your heart and beg for affection. https://youtu.be/CgcJ3Vxl1sM Piper is a sweet, gentle, and reliable girl with a big heart and an even bigger smile. She's very gentle and loving the pups she's fostered with and has taken a special liking to curling up with their chihuahua🐶 She walks like a dream on leash and happily settles into her crate at night, but what she truly dreams of is a companion to curl up beside on the couch for endless cuddles. Currently learning to be more affectionate, playful, and confident, Piper needs someone who will take the time to understand her needs and be patient as she blossoms into her true self. Beneath her initial shyness lies a heart bursting with affection, making her the perfect partner for morning walks or evening strolls. 🌅 She's friendly and relaxed when meeting new canine pals, and though she hasn't fully shown off her playful side yet, we know she'll unleash her inner fun-lover once she feels at home. Piper prefers a chill environment and gets along famously with calm, laid-back furry friends, and she's known to be a cat's best buddy, respecting their space and company. 🐱 Piper dreams of a yard to explore and a sunny spot to soak up some rays, but more than anything, she craves a family to call her own. She deserves to be showered with love in a home where she can thrive. 🏡❤️ https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/663cf9f23441af75b300f825 Curious about Piper? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit cat and dog rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of cats and dogs from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption to match them to their purrfect family by having them in foster homes so that we can assess their behaviors, how they decompress in a home, and find out more about their unique personalities. We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5-year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
