Story
I adopted Tyson from the Tri County Humane Society last March. He's 8 years old, but plenty of energy. He loves to eat and is very affectionate and loves to play. Never a shred of aggression, he loves people. Great , friendly temperament. I'm moving out of state and can't take him.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Corny Collins, the sweetest little doll you’ll ever meet. Corny’s your typical puppy—full of energy, curious about everything, and ready to learn—but she’s also surprisingly low-key and low-maintenance for her age. Despite all the hustle and bustle in her foster home, which includes a young child, three dogs, and full-time working humans, Corny has taken it all in stride. She’s tolerant, easygoing, and happy to just be part of the family. Corny came into her foster’s life after they spotted a homeless man trying to find her a new home outside the Houston Zoo. He clearly loved her but couldn’t give her the care she needed, so they took her in. When she arrived, Corny had fleas, tapeworms, coccidia, and some hair loss, but she’s been on the mend and is now a healthy, happy pup. Every part of the day is enjoyable for Corny. She loves toys, food, and naps, and while she’d certainly appreciate more attention, she doesn’t demand it or become destructive if she doesn’t get it. She has an adorable bouncy run and the cutest tiny howl, making her a joy to have around. Corny spends a lot of time in her foster’s office, playing, eating, and sleeping quietly. She’s pretty independent for a young pup, though she’ll howl a little if left alone for too long. Her foster family is always home, so they’re not sure if she’d be more vocal in a totally empty house, but she’s been content so far. Corny is eager to learn and just needs someone who understands the needs of a puppy and is willing to teach her the ins and outs of being a well-rounded dog. She’s ready to thrive in a loving home that can give her the guidance and care she deserves. Corny Collins is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 8/23/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.  Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.* If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 8:45 pm

Location: Sioux Falls, SD Cordelia: A Joyful and Goofy Staffordshire Mix Looking for Her Forever Home Meet Cordelia! A charming and resilient two-year-old Staffordshire mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that won't quit. Cordelia is social pup ready to find her forever home. She is incredibly friendly and loves to be part of the action. She's quite assertive, especially during greetings, so an experienced owner who can guide her behavior would be ideal. With a high prey drive, Cordelia isn't suited for a home with cats, and slow introductions to other dogs would be best. This clever girl is as goofy as they come, always ready to play and make you laugh. Though she's around two years old, she still has the energy and curiosity of a big puppy. Cordelia. If you're looking for a smart, loyal, and fun-loving companion who just wants to be part of the pack, Cordelia could be the perfect addition to your family. With a bit of guidance and a lot of love, Cordelia is sure to become a cherished member of her forever home. She will definitely give you all the love back!! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. Story
Hi!! I'm Penny Jo, but some of my friends call me PJ. I'm a happy, silly girl that just wants love and attention from my person. I LOVE toys, balls, ropes, and bones. When I'm not playing with my toys, I like to take a good cozy nap. I love to go for walks and play outside. I know basic commands like sit, down, shake and ask (bark). Basically, I'm like really smart. I am just a Meredith Gray trying to find her Christina Yang. I am in need of "my person" to make my days happier and for me to be your best friend in the whole wide world. I want to be by your side for all your accomplishments, your heart breaks, your little daily wins, and to help you pick out the perfect outfit. I am a polite girl and do tend to have difficulty when others aren't as polite with their introductions. So, a slow controlled introduction with other dogs works best for me! Overall, I am an awesome dog that wants to please her person. I take correction very well, am VERY smart and would love to learn more tricks! Apply today to meet me! Meet Root Beer! This 2 yr old Handsome Hunk has the sweetest puppy dog eyes. He loves all toys and when he's really excited, he has to pick up one to show it off. Root Beer loves to get pets and will rest his head on your lap if he wants more. He's great in the kennel and sleeps in it overnight without a peep. Root Beer has done well with other dogs but doesn't like to share toys. He's done best with the female dogs in his foster home. Root Beer would benefit from a person that can set firm boundaries to help him succeed as the best boy he can be. He's great with kids and all people. Root Beer is an amazing boy - it is hard to believe he hasn't found his people yet! Story
Hey friend! My name is Burton. I am a hunky boy with lots of love to give. What's the perfect home for me? I need to be the king of the castle so to speak, which means I need to be an only pet. I have a pretty intense prey-drive so I definitely can't be around kitty friends. I have trouble with other dogs because I never learned proper boundaries when I was young. At my age it's just best that I be your one and only. I am super smart and love to learn new things. My foster family taught me how to run on a treadmill and I am awesome at it. I've learned other fun new things too that I'd love to show you so we can do them together! I also am the perfect size to be a fantastic snuggle companion (about 47 lbs). If you're lonely, cold, or just wanna watch a movie together I'm your guy. I also like relaxing with some chill music and a good chew bone. Because I do need to be an only animal, I also would love a fenced in yard. That way it will keep me safe, and I can run and play all the time with no worry. I forgot to tell you the best part... My new adoptive humans get free training sessions with my adoption with an awesome trainer named Jake! We've been working together and he says I'm doing great and he wants to make sure my new family learns everything I have. If you think you might like to meet me, fill out an adoption application, and my people will be in touch. Hope to see you soon!
