WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Journey - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello, my name is Journey and I am a fabulous boy with a fun lovin life personality! I'm here looking for a home, a family...one I can say will be all mine! I'm just a youngster of around 8 months and come in at about 35lbs. I shouldn't get a whole lot bigger just maybe some fillin in pounds. I'm at that pawsome age for learning all there is to be the bestest family member! I am the most loving affectionate fella you'll have the pleasure to meet. And I have a mellow side but am also playful and active, more or less matching the room energy. I enjoy playtime, but also know when it's time to settle down and cuddle. My pastimes include but are not limited to playing, napping in a sun beam and getting lots of pets and belly rubs. I absolutely love people both of the tall and small versions and will press myself as close as possible and then press some more! I do well with the other pups in my foster home and would do best in a home with another fur sibling, it just makes my heart happy!! I even do well with those creatures y'all call a cat! I'm always up for a good time and would make a great addition to your family, hoping to share in ALL your adventures from the mundane daily to the weekend exciting. I've got lots of love to give and am ready to unleash all this love on a family...could it be YOUR family?!! All you need to do to get ALL this...is fill out my adoption application that can be found at haydudeequine.org

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there! My name is Buck. I'll be 2 years old in March and I weigh about 68 lbs. I was surrendered to the pound and I am now looking for a new, loving family to join. I once lived on a farm with lots of room to run, but then we moved to the city and when I got my outside time, I had to go in a kennel. I didn't like that very much, so I found ways to escape so I could run (I was intact, so that didn't help). I am a very sweet boy, but I am big, strong and energetic. I would do best with a bully breed savvy owner that is assertive and not afraid of my size. I am very smart and I listen very well if I know you're not going to have my shenanigans. I have been good at the the pound around other dogs. I should meet any dogs I'll live with, just to make sure we're compatible. I was a house dog before making my way into the pound and I am said to be housebroken. I do a good job of keeping my kennel clean here at the pound. If you're looking for a big, sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. Story
Goliath is a stunning sleek boy! He turns heads and melts your heart with his big pittie smile! He LOVES people! Maybe a little too much. Some days this big 50 pound love bug still thinks hes a 10 pound puppy and wants to sit in our lap! Goliath would do best in a home that has older children as he still doesn't realize how big he is as he is still full of his puppy energy. He would never hurt anyone! He just doesn't realize how big he is and can easily knock down littles. He knows basic command and is house trained and crate trained. He gets along with other dogs but tends to play on the more energetic side, so other large dogs are best for him. He has a big big heart and will be someone's best buddy on the road, hiking/fishing/camping/running buddy. A good pittie is a TIRED pittie :) And Goliath is a GOOD PITTIE :) Local adoption fee $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
