Story
Bella is a loving, gentle girl. She thrives on your attention, and loves to play and go on walks. Bella was found as a stray, but brought into her foster’s vet hospital for basic care, vaccinations, and to be checked over. And it’s a good thing, because she was heartworm positive, but thankfully was treated. Her birthdate is estimated at approximately early Aug 2021. She is selective about the dogs she likes, but does well with dogs near her size (60 lbs). But it would be best if she wasn’t in a home with cats or small dogs. She hasn't been thoroughly exposed to children but she has been around them and seems fine with them. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Bella is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Story
Our boy, Nate, is only 5 months old, but he's already been looking for a home for half his life! Nate and his brother, Blue (adopted), were born in the leaves and dirt in a yard in W. Dallas as their momma wasn't allowed in the house or given any shelter. Five months later, Nate is a healthy, vibrant boy who is affectionate and playful with other dogs. He's handsome and unique with grey/green eyes and he was born with a nubby tail! Total guess but we think Nate may be around 40 or 50 lbs full grown, based on the size of parents. Nate is a smart boy and is already crate & potty trained. Story
We Leia from a shelter in Dallas in 2021. She had only been there for a month, and she had no history. She is about 4 years old. When we interacted with her, she was sweet and showed affection right away. We decided to take her home with us. Fast forwarding to now, we had added new additions to our family and now we can't give her the attention she deserves. She deserves to have a home that will give her attention and love. A couple things you need to know about her are, she has severe separation anxiety so she will need to be placed in a kennel (we will provide) while she is left alone in the house or yard. Leia is also very aggressive towards other dogs. It’s best to muzzle her when going on walks. She does not like to be bothered when she is eating and or has a treat. However, she loves people, kids and babies! She is overall an amazing dog.

Story
I have been fostering Roxie for 3 months. My Veterinarian approximated the ages of 11 months to 1.5 years old. I am unable to continue to foster her because I will be moving and I live in a one bedroom apartment, which is not an ideal space for her. She is a great dog, very energetic and playful! She LOVES people, but unsure of other dogs, I would recommend she be the only dog. She would be perfect with a family that loves to be outdoors and has a big yard where she can run and explore. She is housebroken and is easily trainable. I was able to train her how to sit, stay, leave it, wait, and down, very quickly. She is food motivated, which will help with training. She has a big heart and loves to cuddle, give big hugs and kisses. I am willing to give the crate that I bought for her as well as her leashes/harnesses. Also, she is currently up to date on vaccines/heart worm prevention. I hope to find a family that will give her the attention she needs and create a special bond with her.

Story
Chico is a very active dog who needs a lot of attention and plenty of exercise. I had gotten Chico from a coworker of mine for my dad as a gift. My father unfortunately passed away August of 2024. So I took him in and tried to care for him as best as I could. Given my current occupation I am unable to provide the attention Chico needs. Just trying to put Chico’s needs first and get him a better life he deserves. Chico’s new home. I am looking for a family and or a larger home where he has the space he needs. A large yard would also be ideal, but is not required. I have everything Chico will need for his new home. Food storage bin, food, crate, crate pad, bed, treats, cleaning supplies, toys, & elevated feeding station with bowls.

Story
Maggie is still searching for her forever family! Here is what one of our volunteers has to say about her: “Maggie is a gem. She has the best temperament and is probably one of the sweetest dogs you’ll meet. She loves, loves, loves people. When she looks up at you with those eyes, you can’t tell her no! She loves belly rubs, being pet, and giving kisses. She would do really well with older kids, but she could go to a family without kids as well. Maggie loves to do all of the typical dog activities, such as walks and car rides. There’s no question she’d be your best friend and accompany you on all your adventures. She’s just so happy and loving. I’m surprised this precious girl hasn’t been scooped up yet!” Maggie is a 5 year old American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier mix. She is great with other dogs and loves to play. She is kennel trained and potty trained. If you are interested in adding Maggie to your family, please fill out an application at rescuerowinc.org! *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. Story
Gwen is an absolute sweetheart who’s ready to find her forever home! She thrives with the companionship of another dog—whether it’s cuddling up together or just hanging out. She also loves to zoom around the yard, either on her own or in a fun game of chase with a friend. Gwen is incredibly dog and puppy-friendly! She enjoys playing with toys, chewing on bones, and is always up for a car ride—making her the perfect travel buddy. Gwen is both potty and kennel trained. While she sleeps in her kennel at night and stays there for short periods when her foster parents are away, she has never been destructive in their home. When Gwen first arrived at her foster home, she was a little unsure of random noises and even her own reflection, but she has gained confidence and left those habits behind. She’s still working on her leash skills and adjusting to unfamiliar environments, but she’s making great progress. She already knows several commands, including sit, down, place, stay, and free. Gwen is a 54 lb mix—Pit Bull, American Staffordshire Terrier, Dalmatian, Rottweiler, and Lab—and will be turning 4 in April.
