Koda is a very sweet dog who came into our care with 6 tiny puppies that she was thrilled to nurture. She does well on a leash and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Story
Why isn't she adopted yet? She's the perfect pup when she's at home, just not always so perfect at PetCo.Rana was dumped in someone's yard who brought her to MARF to find her a home. She a sassy little girl who bosses the big dogs around in the foster home, since she is a HERDING BREED MIX of Blue Heeler and who knows what?!She is full of love and energy to spare, stays right with the foster mom as she walks the farm checking on the horses, goats and chickens, which she has interacted with but does not bother. She is house and crate trained, knows the word NO, and comes when she is called. She loves to play outside with the other dogs in the foster home, so must have a securely fenced yard to play and potty in, along with another playful dog in the home to play with. She loves her dog toys, her chew bones and will bring you a toy.She is highly intelligent, easily trained, easy to handle (according to the foster mom) and won't get past a medium sized dog.Foster mom says she is "the perfect puppy to foster". She gets a little bossy at Petco, trying to be Alpha, so be aware, that she cannot be with another Alpha in the home and make sure you know the herding breed. They HERD! She is great with the foster's granddaughter (but they are also used to herders). She is FULLY VETTED and her adoption fee is SPONSORED to the right adopter.Apply at Madisonarf.org

Story
Meet Cooper! This sweet boy is an awesome companion, loves to play, great w/kids, great car rider, will hangout w/you while you are working outside. He is kennel trained & has an e-stem collar for training. He does like the play a little more rough w/smaller pets (herding trait). He is a great solo pet, but is currently w 2 other dogs & 2 cats. He CAN NOT be left outside of his kennel alone. He will chew on stuff. If he is around someone, he is great. He just gets board/anxious. We need to re-home him due to allergies (our youngest & her dad). He has been my buddy going to Lowes, Home Depot, Tractor Supply, and occasionally Jeep events. Cooper was found by a family from the Madison area when they went trial riding in Tennessee. He stayed w/them and didn't want to be alone. They brought him back to try to re-home him. We took him in & have loved him. We need to make our home more comfortable for our daughter because of her allergies. Please contact if interested.
