Story
A dapper fella with a charming half-tail, Tucker is a chill guy with a live-and-let-live attitude. He bonds tightly to his person once they've shown themselves worthy. A safe and quiet life is at the top of this boy's want list. Then he can really open up and show his fun side, which includes an adorable play bow! He likes playing with female dogs but is a grump with other males.  Tucker has had a DNA test, so his breeds are not a guess! ~  Est DOB:  Aug 2011 ~  Est weight:  50#  ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlAugust 16, 2024, 9:26 pm

Story
Andre has never met a stranger, and he met many people after being abandoned at an apartment complex. Everyone loved him, but nobody could keep him - so we are helping him continue his search for a true family. Andre's best home is pretty much any home, as he loves all people and knows his basic commands already! He is fun loving but also loves lap time and some good cuddles in front of the tv. He enjoys other dogs and can match well with a dog companion who understands his vocal play style. ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~ Est DOB: Nov 2021~ Intake weight: 48# ~ Adoption details/application: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlAugust 16, 2024, 9:26 pm

What’s all the buzz about?  Our Buzz, of course!  A 15-week-old Heeler mix, he weighs 14 pounds but will mature to around 45 pounds! So handsome in his medium length black and tan coat, it’s no wonder that he gets so much attention from everyone who passes by!  Buzz is very sweet and friendly and does wonderfully with other dogs! He is also very playful and loves toys. This boy is a real winner! Buzz is what the buzz is all about!   Adopt Buzz and let him fill your life with love and happiness! (ME, 7/16/2024) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  August 18, 2024, 2:19 pm

Story
Meet Redmont, an Australian Cattle Dog/Pittie mix named after the Birmingham neighborhood he wandered as a stray dog for at least a week, capturing the attention of all the residents. After outsmarting many neighbors who tried to catch him, he was finally captured when he followed another dog into a fenced-in yard. Although he was very scared of humans at the time, his love of other dogs helped lead him to a better place. 🐾 He’s been in a foster home for 9 months now, and with the help of professional assistance and dedicated foster parents, he has transformed from a skiddish dog scared of humans into a dog who will approach people with his tail wagging.🐕‍🦺 His foster parents find it remarkable that even though he was so scared of them, he never once growled or snapped at them. He’s a very gentle, sweet dog who plays really well with the other dogs in his foster home. He would love to be adopted into a home with another dog, and would be fine with another dog who is more of the alpha. He’s looking for guidance from the other dogs around him, and he will walk away when another dog corrects him. He may look muscular and tough, but he’s really a softy.  Redmont is estimated to be about a year and a half old. When he plays with other dogs, you can really see his youthful energy. But after playtime, he’s happy to chill and take a nap. This smart boy is completely house trained! Redmont loves going for walks, and walking was one of the biggest factors in his transformation. He is looking for an active family that loves walking as much as he does, and he would prefer a fenced-in yard where we can safely run and play.  Redmont’s foster mom wanted to document his journey for all the neighbors who became so invested in him, so she created an Instagram account (redmont_the_dog) for the neighbors to follow his progress. Please check it out if you want to get a better sense of how he has transformed into the special dog he is today. 🫶
