This free spirit knows how to keep us all entertained and has a knack for wrapping everyone around her finger. Her favorite thing in the world is playing with her toys - especially when she gets to share the fun with her human friends!Winnie can be a bit reactive on her walks and may show some reactivity toward smaller animals and other dogs. While we haven't seen much of this behavior in the shelter, her size and strength make it something to consider. She's also a strong puller, but she's making great progress with halter training.Winnie can experience separation anxiety, so she would do best in a home where someone works from home or can provide frequent check-ins throughout the day. She'd thrive as the only pet in the household, where she can be the center of attention and receive all the love she deserves.If you're looking for a playful, loving dog who will keep you laughing and isn't afraid to show her sassy side, Winnie could be the perfect fit for your home!Thank you for your interest in adopting! Story
Maple is a gorgeous sweet girl who was dumped with her siblings at a farm not far from the SPCA PV sanctuary. She was very popular with tourists and was getting lots of attention from potential adopters, but while she was waiting for a flight to her adoptive home in Alberta she had to see a vet for an injection, and she moved and they hit a nerve, which caused some nerve damage in her back leg. Unfortunately she was held back for rehabilitation. She has improved but her foot can still drag so she has to wear a bootie. She gets around well and loves to play (even with cats). She is otherwise healthy, spayed and vaccinated.
