Story
Meet JOURNEY! Miss journey is a blue heeler american bulldog mix. She is 1.5 years old and 50 lbs. She’s an extremely chill gal who is at first is a little shy to meet folks (I think due to all the chaos of the fire and her life before) but by hour two, she was following us around like a little shadow.  She had some super cute puppies not too long ago, so she loves companionship and just hanging by your feet. If you’re in the same room as her she’s very chill and will lay on her bed all day just gnawing on her toys. She loves kisses and snuggles and sometimes will just crawl into a tiny ball and get right into your lap. She’s very smart - knows sit and down and I think could be trained in a lot more commands. She listens when you tell her stop and always comes when her name is called. She is house and crate trained! Very intuitive and food motivated (who isn't) - the first night we had to use a few treats to get her into her crate but she went in right in, cried for about 5 minutes then went right to sleep! Didn’t make a PEEP all night and in the morning - she was still chilling with her LAMBCHOP. I would say she would be best for someone with no no other pets but she could be okay with some bigger dominant dogs! She’s been in a yard with two bigger alpha dogs and was good with them. She's never been around cats. She would LOVE a yard and space to run and play chase with you!She is such a loving girl who so deserves a world where she can give all her kisses endlessly and learn what she needs! Plz comment or DM me with any other questions!Interested in adopting this pet? Please contact us at questions@awishforanimals.org for more info.January 22, 2025, 3:03 pm

Duchess IS AVAILALBE (updated 03-07-2025).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Duchess , please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22610&name=Duchess Duchess was one of 11 puppies born to mom Grace. She is one of our &#39F litter&#39 puppies; F meaning flowers, forests and fun. A DNA test done on Duchess showed that she and the other puppies are ~50% Australian cattle dog, ~30% German Shepherd, and ~20% Dutch Shepherd. Mom appears to be a GSD and Dutch Shepherd.Duchess was originally adopted as a puppy but was later returned due to family health issues. Duchess is now looking for a new forever family. She is full of life and love and would enjoy an active family to live her life with. Duchess would be best partnered with a male dog or as an only dog! She is a lot of fun and will make someone an excellent companion! The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.March 7, 2025, 4:39 pm

Story
Meet Adoptable Lola! She’s a very affectionate and happy 3 year old Australian Shepherd/Sheepdog mix, around 80 lbs. She’s potty trained, and loves her crate. She has had some professional basic training. She is ecollar, muzzle, and prong collar trained. All these tools come with her to continue her push-button training. She knows sit, down, heel, leave it, wait, out, come, no, and crates on command. She also waits for the release command to eat. The guardian breeds in her makes her an amazing watch dog. She’s well behaved, and obedient. She loves to hike in the hills, and on the trail she has excellent off-leash recall. She also knows wait (and will stop and wait for you to catch up). She knows out (and will get out of the bushes in case of snakes). She’s great in the car for long periods on road trips, and the perfect camping/exploring  partner. Lola loves fetch, as well as playing with her toys, although tug is her very favorite type of play (if you’re strong enough). Lola was attacked by an off leash dog, so she has leash reactivity/fear of unknown dogs. She is working hard to overcome her fears, and needs an experienced adopter to continue her training back to neutral/non-reactivity. She is good with other calm dogs after proper introductions, and currently lives harmoniously with 3 males at her foster house. Sweet Lola can’t wait to meet you!  Interested in adopting this pet?
