Story
How this pet arrived: Bonnie was brought in by her previous owner on November 27, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Bonnie, a happy and loveable dog looking for her new home! She came into our care with a fractured leg, which is healing up nicely. Bonnie is very intelligent and full of energy. One of her adorable quirks is her "Heeler nibble" - a playful little nip at your ankles! Bonnie has shown herself to be affectionate and enjoys meeting new people, happily accepting pets and neck scratches. She loves fetch and toys and would love it if you join in the fun, but is also great at entertaining herself. Bonnie is not a fan of sharing, and would thrive best as the only pet in the home where she can soak up all your attention and love. She has some reactivity to unfamiliar dogs (resulting in barking and pulling on the leash), which can be managed with some positive reinforcement training. She is not a candidate for dog parks or other off-leash venues. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion who will fill your days with joy, fill out the interest form above!Dog Reactive Dog: Bonnie requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 44.2 Age: 2yrs 3mths 2wks

How this pet arrived:Pupusa and Tamale were brought in by Humane Law Enforcement on November 14, 2024. Why Pupusa and Tamale are the ones for you:Meet Pupusa and Tamale (#932921), an inseparable pair of doggos that are trying their hardest to understand this big world but making progress every day! These sweet sisters are looking for a home that will be patient with them and help them reach their full potential. Having come from a background with limited exposure to the world, Pupusa and Tamale are a bit more cautious than the average pup. Over time, we have come to see them become playful and goofy and wonderfully joyous to watch. They will thrive best in a calm, adult-only home (or one with kids 12+) without other dogs (they can be scary for them), where they can feel safe as they build their confidence. These two can walk on leash, but a ground-level home with easy access to a potty area would be ideal for their continued progress. Our team is ready to help Tamale and Pupusa's adopters succeed and provide all the resources we can. Are you ready to give these two devoted sisters the safe and loving home they deserve? Stop by and see these beautiful two today! Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Story
How this pet arrived: Dougie was brought in by a community member on January 30, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Dougie! This shy sweetheart is looking for a patient home to help him come out of his shell. He came to us as a stray with some skin issues, but with a little TLC (and maybe a stylish doggy skincare routine), he's on the mend! Dougie needs slow introductions to new people and experiences, but once he trusts you, you'll have a loyal friend for life. If you have a soft spot for underdogs and are ready to help this gentle soul shine, Dougie just might be your perfect match! Dougie will do best in a quiet home and if children are a part of the family, they must be above the age of 8 so they can respect his boundaries. Dougie can be particular about his canine friends so we will require an on site dog to dog introduction prior to adoption if another resident dog is in the home. Stop by today to meet Dougie and bring a leash and collar when you do! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tri Color Weight: 41.4 Age: 1yrs 8mths 2wks

Story
How this pet arrived: Onyx was brought in by her previous owner on February 6, 2025.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Onyx! Onyx is a sprightly young gal who's still working on learning proper doggy manners. She will thrive in a home without children and with someone who can provide the structure and guidance she needs to become her best self. Onyx was brought into our care after an incident involving biting a child during play and has also been known to be mouthy and even jump over a 5ft fence. Adopters should be prepared to work with Onyx on positive reinforcement training and help her with her social skills. She may need some time to adjust, and it's important to never engage with her when she jumps up. Instead, teach her what she should do by redirecting her behavior. Onyx will need someone who can read her body language and avoid overhandling her, especially when she shows signs of discomfort. Onyx is not yet crate trained, and leaving her in a crate may result in damage to belongings or cause her harm, so proper crate training will be crucial for her safety. If you're looking for a sweet, energetic dog who just needs a little help to become the best version of herself, Onyx may be the perfect match for you! Don't forget to bring a leash and collar!Excitable Dog: Onyx requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.
