Story
Mercedes is a 5.5 month old Australian cattle mix puppy in search of her forever family. Mercedes’ foster family says that she is a sweet and cuddly pup. She is leash, crate, and potty-trained, but just like her brother Tesla, needs to potty every 4-5 hours since she is a young pup. Mercedes spends a lot of time playing with her brother Tesla and other adult dogs in her foster home. In line with being a puppy, Mercedes seeks chewy toys. She is the perfect dog for a family that is physically active and that can stimulate her curiosity. Mercedes and her brother Tesla were rescued from a neglectful situation by a kind volunteer (they were kept in kennels outdoors and the “owners” would not get them inside during a storm).
Mercedes is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you).

All breeds listed are educated best estimates by transferring shelter staff, our volunteers or our vets. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT. Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort.
If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation.
