Story
Meet Dorian! Dorian arrived at MSPCA from Pasadena Humane Society as part of our efforts to support people and pets who have been impacted by wildfires in California. He is a happy, friendly guy who’s sure to bring a smile to your face! This sweet boy loves to snuggle up with his favorite people and would make an excellent office buddy, keeping you company during the workday with his calm and loving nature. Dorian has a playful side, especially when it comes to tennis balls—he’s always up for a game of fetch!Dorian used a crate in his previous home and would benefit from a little refresher during his transition to his new home, helping him feel comfortable and secure. While he’s a social, affectionate pup, he will need some time to decompress and adjust to his new environment. With a little patience and understanding, Dorian will settle in and show you his true, loving personality.Dorian has been around kids in his previous home and has done well, so he could thrive in a family setting with children who understand how to interact with dogs. If you`re looking for a happy, playful companion who enjoys both playtime and snuggles, Dorian could be the perfect fit for you! Come meet this wonderful boy today! If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by MSPCA at Northeast Animal Shelter. We have open adoption hours 11:30am-5pm daily - no appointment or application needed. Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
Pepper is the sweetest dog I have ever had, she very intelligent, outgoing, and a very big cuddle bug. She is food motivated, will do anything for a treat. A huge cuddle bug, she does great with male dogs but not female dogs. She was trained by hand signals along with a command. She is a great bath taker, will sit in the tub/shower and let you bath her and dry her off. She loves to be outdoors and her favorite game is one sided fetch lol. I love this dog with my whole heart and I just want her to be happy.

Adoptable in: MA Good with dogs: YesGood with cats: NoGood with kids: YesCrate trained: YesHouse trained: YesPep is a chill, go-with-the-flow kind of guy who’s ready to go on your next adventure! Pep would likely do well in nearly any home ready to give him all the love.He is a low to medium energy pup who loves to stroll around the pond or hop in the car but is perfectly content to chill on the couch nearby. Pep gets along well with other pups and would do just fine with a canine sibling. He has interacted well and is respectful of cat boundaries in his current foster home, but has shown too much interest in new cats in new evironments, so he would most likely do best without a cat in the home. His gentle disposition would likely do fine with kids in the home.Pep is smart and eager to please. He is crate trained and potty-trained. He is crated occasionally during the day and overnight without any issues. He is working on his leash manners and loves to explore the world with his nose, so he would benefit from an owner excited to continue his training as he navigates his new environment.Pep is an all-around great pup with an easy-going temperament - are you ready to call him family?*Pep is part of our Medical Foster-to-Adopt Program as he is on prescription food. If you're interested in learning more, we will connect you with our Medical Team to explain the process! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.March 9, 2025, 1:37 am

Story
URGENT need for adopter!! This is Leo , he’s a 3yr old cattle ( March 12th bday ). He loves playing with balls, tug of war, and enjoying treats, especially meat. Outdoors, he enjoys trips to the park and beach, though he's still learning to swim. Leo can be cautious around certain dogs, children, teens, and strangers, but with time and patience, he opens up. He needs training, love, and an active lifestyle. Leo thrives in a home where he receives attention, structure, and affection. If you're ready to invest time in him, Leo will bring joy and loyalty into your life. My family could be facing legal issues regarding the health of our youngest if we continue to keep him. We all love him very much and wish he could stay but this is our best options vs a shelter.

Story
Pringles is a handsome senior fella who is looking for a comfy spot to spend his golden years. He is a low key guy who enjoys a quiet stroll followed by a long nap. Pringles has arthritis in his hips due to untreated hip dysplasia so he is looking for a home without too many stairs. He has been receiving monthly injections for his arthritis, so it will be important for his family to have a good relationship with a vet. Pringles enjoys going for car rides and has a history of being housetrained. He might be able to live with a well matched dog friend and a dog-savvy cat!
