Story
Millie is a medium energy, Heeler mix puppy that is extremely smart, food motivated and learns VERY quickly. She is super fun to work with and could easily learn some fun tricks! She would love a home that would teach her more commands and provide a lap to sit on at night. She's very snuggly and has the cutest little snore! She is not a shy dog and loves to play and would do best in a home with larger dogs that are still playful and could be tolerant of her rough puppy antics. Although she is currently living with cats, her foster parents think she may be too much for most cats due to her Heeler breed tendencies to chase. Millie responds extremely well to positive reinforcement with treats and commands but tends to get upset if she feels threatened so a home without young children would be best. She is housebroken, crate trained and is content to spend alone time in her crate with a chew toy when needed and wouldn’t mind being a solo dog. She has been an absolute joy at her foster home! If interested, please submit an application. All current pets MUST be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason. www.pawzandpurrz.org RR335 Please Note: We are making changes to our Foster to Adopt process. Limited resources to follow up on pending adoptions and delays in processing payments is adding to our financial restrictions. Going forward we will collect payment when the dog is transferred to the potential new owner and will be held for an agreed upon trial time. Exceptions or extended trial times will be considered on a case by case basis and will depend upon the need or situation.

Story
Name: TaosNicknames: Taco, Tow-towPreferences: Good with everything and everyone!!Reason for being at BCHS: Was surrendered with my brother Telluride and my cat friends. Meet Taos, a lively and lovable 2-year-old Heeler mix with all the intelligence and energy you’d expect from the breed. He came in with his brother, Telluride, and is now searching for a forever home where he can share his loyalty and playful spirit. As a Heeler mix, Taos is naturally smart, alert, and always ready for an adventure. Heelers are known for their strong work ethic, quick learning ability, and deep devotion to their people. Whether it`s a game of fetch, a long hike, or just sticking by your side, Taos is happiest when he`s engaged and active. Taos is great with kids, cats, and other dogs, having lived with both, and he’s already housebroken and walks well on a leash—meaning he’s ready to be the perfect addition to your home. Taos, and Telluride are not considered a bonded pair, but in a perfect world we would love to see them go home together again! If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and loyal companion, Taos is ready to be your new best friend!
