Nick came to us from the OKCShelter euthanasia list. He was chosen for euthanasia because he was displaying stress in the shelter and they needed the room. Nick is very playful and has a lot of energy. He gets along well with other dogs and likes to fetch and play tug of war. He'd do very well with children in the 7 and up range simply because he does LOVE running. He'd do well hiking and traveling too. He's good in the car and crate trained. Please meet Miss Haven! Haven is an approximately 4.5-year old female Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix and weighs around 70 lb. She was adopted as a puppy and returned as an adult when the adopter no longer had time for her. Haven is very affectionate and loves her adult people! Once she is comfortable with her environment, she is playful and social. She is very loyal. Haven is not a fan of children (we think they just make her nervous) or most other dogs, especially energetic dogs. She would probably be fine with a calmer male dog, but she needs to meet any dog in the household prior to adoption. HOME CHECK AND STOCKADE FENCE REQUIRED! Haven is crate, house, and leash trained. This handsome boy is Cooper! Cooper is an approximately 4-year old male Cattle Dog / Retriever mix who weighs around 50 lbs. He was adopted as a puppy and through no fault of his own ended up at a local animal shelter, where we retrieved him. Cooper is a very affectionate and happy boy! He is always ready for some fun! He can be selective with his friends, so he will need to meet any other dogs in the home prior to adoption. He requires a secure stockade fenced back yard as he can jump a 4 foot chain link fence. He could be an only dog if given lots of attention and exercise and included in activities with his human(s). Cooper is crate trained, was house-trained at one time but may need a refresher course and walks best with a harness type leash. He is neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225. Since Cooper is in daycare boarding, he qualifies as a foster or foster-to-adopt.
