Chex is a complicated case. In terms of my relationship with him, he’s one of the sweetest most eager to please dogs I’ve ever owned. He is fiercely loyal. He is a huge snuggle bug and loves to hang out with his owner. He is house broken and does well on leash. Chex is very very protective of his house/property. He does not like people he does not know coming into his house. He will bark aggressively when the mailbox or package delivery comes to the door. Chex is fine around other dogs so long as there is no competition for toys/treats. Finally, Chex has bit 2 people in the past 2 months. One person came in the house unannounced, the other person was having a snack near him and he bit her arm unprovoked. He has not had any formal aggression training. These concerns should be carefully considered when adopting Chex. He should be supervised at all times around children or unfamiliar adults. He’ll do best with a patient owner on a farm/large property with very few visitors.

This girl is 26 pounds of energy and love. She had to be captured by the local animal control officer and was prettified. She was lunging and growling and very upset. But something in her eye just pleaded for me to help her. So I picked her up from the shelter and brought her home where George (our cat) helped me show her that humans and other animals are good. George helped her calm down and let her guard down and after about an hour she was giving me lots of kisses. She is hilarious and is definitely a lover. She may need a couple of minutes to feel safe, but once she does, she is glued to you. She is extremely smart, loves to go for rides, walks and hikes or any adventure (we went kayaking) She prefers not to be left alone as she does have some separation anxiety. This little girl is ready for her happily ever after. Please visit funnyfarmpets.org to read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption process works. Her adoption fee is $325 and if transport is necessary that is an additional $200 We are hoping to find her someone local to TN. She is a special girl who will need a special mom or dad to navigate through her fears. I may end up writing a book about her as she has given me lots of great stories.
