Story
Mousey is an adorable dog and will make a perfect family pet! She loves all other dogs and romps and plays all day at the ranch with many other breeds...kind of like a dog park in reverse. She came from a very high-kill shelter in California and had been dumped as a puppy in the hard streets of a high-crime area. She had one friend in the world, Sopita, who was also saved by Dogtown. When she first got to the ranch, she could not be separated from her friend, but she quickly found a hundred other buddies and learned that life can be a good thing after all. Mousey loves to play, chase a ball and also fun to cuddle. Please get in touch and meet our precious Mousey who wants a family to call her own.May 22, 2024, 5:48 am

Little Lucy was saved being given away in front of a store to just anyone. Luckily our good friend and fellow rescuer at Dogtown Ranch scooped up Little Lucy. All of her littermates died, but thanks to Dogtown, Lucy has survived. She is super gentle and a very calm dog for a little puppy. Super dog friendly and gets along with all the other dogs at Dogtown. Please give us a call today to arrange a meeting with our precious Little Lucy.May 22, 2024, 5:48 am

Story
If ever there were a pup who lived up to his name, it's intrepid tripod Magnum! This 3-legged 3-year-old is full of energy and can take off like a shot, that missing leg doesn't slow him down one bit. He's a very active guy. He would do best as the only dog in the home (with a yard for zoomies please!) with adults and older teens. He would love a buddy to run and play with! If you're looking for someone to share an active lifestyle with, look no further than Magnum! Check him out on Instagram @magnum_p.i._d.o.g

Story
Honey Bun is a senior lady with just the right amount of playful energy sprinkled in. Age hasn't slowed her down; she loves to be active. She loves playing tug and chasing a frisbee. She loves cozying up for pets or butt scratches. But she's not needy and can easily entertain herself. She has no problem being left home alone for a full work day, and does just fine free roaming the house. She's a well-mannered housemate and never gets into things she shouldn't. She can be nervous with new people and situations, shying away from a crowd. But with those she knows well, she is a confident goofball who always entertains with her playful antics. She loves to play, chase her toys around the yard and show off her skills. She would love a patient adopter who can be her advocate, allowing her time and space to interact when she is truly ready.

Story
IN SEARCH OF EMPLOYMENT: Hello, My name is Missio and I am looking for placement in an office administrator role. I will need space to set up my crate to sleep in overnight. I will patiently wait for you to come to my crate before I clock in for the day. I would like to have a co-working space where I can work next to you - preferably under your desk. The position I am looking for would need to provide multiple nap breaks throughout the work day. Skills include TOP Dog training so commands like: sit, stay, down, place, free, and no are easy peasy for me. If I am fulfilled in my role, I will make some happy snorts to give you positive feedback. I am house-trained and can roam free even when I am the only employee in the office. I would do best in a workplace without young children, but I would prefer an adult only workspace. If you are interested in my many skills, kisses, and wiggles - talk to a matchmaker today!

Story
Hello! This is Mochi (mo-chee) and he is around 10 yrs old (could be younger since he was a stray) We are looking to rehome Mochi in preparation for our first child. He might not be the best to have a baby around since he plays pretty rough Mochi is calm like 80% of the day despite being a mix of a bunch of herding dogs but definitely gets more energetic after work hours. He had heartworms after I initially adopted him 5 years ago but those were treated w no issues. He is not a super cuddly dog but definitely enjoys people and being pet. Just not hugs, being lifted, or his tail being touched while he’s resting. Hes also doesnt have the best track record w other animals especially ones bigger than him (could also be my inexperience w dog behavior though) He plays on the rougher side for some people but he is also very food motivated. I don’t want to risk the chance of my dog reactively biting my child because his tail was accidentally touched.

Story
SPICY🌶️! Pepper is a gorgeous red heeler (Australian cattle dog) who is super smart and at one time someone must have spent time on training. She knows sit, down, shake and treat. Pepper needs an active home with an adopter who will continue her training and possibly a canine sport. We think she might be a bit much for children under 8 years of age. She is crate trained but we do not know about house training. The only “downside ” we have seen is she guards her food from other dogs and thinks it’s all hers, so feeding any other other pets it is best to do in two different areas. A nice fenced yard would be perfect for lots of running, playing and training. We have not seen her with dogs under 30 pounds so we don’t know how she will be with small pets. Pepper’s adoption fee of $250.00 include her vet exam, basic vaccinations, fecal test, wormer, heart worm/tick testing, preventative, spay and microchip. Austin, TX area adoptions only. Fenced yard. Children over 8 years old.

Story
What do you need to fall in love with Bluebelle? A little bit of patience, a well refined sense of humor and a love for a quirky dog! Just like a long lasting relationship in the human world, Bluebelle is going to want to take it slow-long walks to explore and get to know you, a little distance to not go love bombing and the time to get to know this extroverted introvert. She loves to stop and smell the roses (or every blade of grass) as she explores the world with you. Not to mention her special sassy strut. As she gets more comfortable with your budding relationship, you'll start to see her weirdo personality come out. Where did that voice come from? Why is she rubbing on you like a cat? Is she ready for pets? Not quite yet! And that's okay!! In the home, she's mostly content to do her own thing. She loves to curl up on the end of the bed or a bed of her own to snooze the day away. Work a typical or atypical day out of the house? This girl has no issues being home alone where she can enjoy multiple beds or even hang out in her crate. In a yard, she'll get the most epic zoomies and then try to dig a hole. WAIT girlfriend! No digging! And she'll come over when asked to stop. Toys make her so happy and she'll use her inside voice as she chases balls, tosses around ropes and carries around a squeaky. She's most content playing with her toys while you watch-not much of a fetch game for her! Her volunteer friends best compare her to a cat-she's got her 'pet friendly' zones, chases the sun for her naps and rubs around your legs. It's entirely possible she was raised by cats which is why she has no idea how to be a proper dog! Bluebelle loves wholeheartedly and as the longest stay dog on campus, she is ready to move into a home of her own. She's got her bags packed already! We know you'll fall in love if you come down to the shelter and ask for Bluebelle! Oh and check out her instagram @adopt_beautiful_bluebelle
