Story
Meet Reign! She is 1 year 8 months, I tried to rehome Reign originally but her new owner gave up hope because Reign is deaf. I am currently fostering her in order to solidify a safe, comfortable, permanent home for her like she deserves. Unfortunately I only have a week to rehome her or she’s going to the shelter and I really don’t want that for her.. Reign is fully deaf and is a funny girl! She loves water and baths, she is the best fetch player, tetherball is a game she’s learned to love, and she has a heart of gold. Reign is a very loyal girl and she will love you endlessly. Reign loves walks, but can easily lead the way to explore with you. She has experience being off leash, a little more training and she will perfect it! Reign knows a few ASL signs, but Dog ASL would be a better fit for her. She has a good time with dogs her size, she’s familiar with cats but would need to get to know them before full exposure. Reign learns very quickly and is very patient she deserves the world

Story
Alfred is an adorable little red heeler mix!   He's been a very shy boy in the shelter and is hesitant to come out of his kennel and interact with other dogs, but he's affectionate with people.   Due to his shyness, we are not sure how he is with dogs but he is not reactive when he sees them from his kennel. He has not been cat tested.August 18, 2024, 9:46 pm

Story
LIO is an easy going special needs 2 year old Australian Cattle dog terrier mix looking for a loving human companion. He is a special boy who is deaf, but it is hard to tell because he adapts easily. Would be best with an adopter who can be in charge and give him clear expectations of what is expected of him. In return, you will have a loving companion, who wants to please and enjoy life with you. Moderately active boy, who even though he is young, is not hyper or nervous. Happy to go for walks, cuddle up on the couch, lay at your feet while you work on the computer or follow you around the yard as you garden. He just wants love, attention (but not needy) and a soft place to lounge. Dog friendly with female, large and small dogs who won't get 'yappy' in his face. He would love to be your one and only, getting all of your affection. Housetrained, with good house manners. Crate trained, although not his favorite, he will go in, but would prefer to be laying at your feet. Enjoys sitting in his human's lap, getting pet and belly rubs. He enjoys treats, dog toys, long belly rubs, lounging in the pool on the steps or sunning himself in the yard. Great car rider who likes to feel the fresh air and sunshine on his face. Lio has had professional training learning how to walk next to his person on a leash, and has mastered commands 'sit, down, stay and off'. Sleeps through the night in his own bed. Has not been destructive inside or outside. Not a big barker at all. Has not been cat tested, so we are unable to adopt him to a home with cats or small critters. He would be great for a family with grown children, single person or a couple. A home with a fenced yard would be best to keep him safe. Deaf dog experience is not required, just a good adopter, willing to be a leader and give him a loved life. Lio is 49 lbs, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative and current on prevention. Fostered in Texas, with transportation available to most U.S. states.

Story
We got Maverick as a baby and have had him since. He was born on Feb 17, 2023. He is a working dog and needs a good yard or someone that can be super attentive to him, as he can get bored and chew/dig where you may not want him to. He has a very mellow temperament overall and is a sweet dog. He just deserves more than we can give him! We hope he finds an amazing home!

Story
AUSTIN METRO AREA ADOPTIONS ONLY Happy-go-lucky GUS! Gus is a gentle soul. He is a possible heeler mix with a husky blend (?) that was rescued from a rural kill shelter. He grew up in our rescue's ranch, first as a puppy and now he is a young adult. Please, please do not pass him by. He prefers non-dominant play mates and the ladies are his favorite ("wink"). He still acts like a puppy, as he loves to come up to you for pats and snuggles. Look at his million watt smile!! He is so happy just to be near people and he is eager to please. He LOVES treats and this is just great, as he is definitely food-motivated and will be easier to train. He will need an active family who will take him on walks and runs. One who does not mind brushing up on his training, as he is used to being in a kennel environment, running around with the other rescued dogs. But we want him to thrive with his own snuggly bed, home, and a human family. He may need some more leash training but he is smart and willing. A fenced backyard will be great, as he is happiest exploring and chasing squirrels. Gus’s adoption fee of $350.00 includes his Vet exam, current vaccinations, heart worm test, preventative, fecal test, wormer, neuter and microchip.

Domino is a Queensland red heeler mix and a very special dog...he's my favorite (but please don't tell the others!) He is looking for a job and a good friend...are you out there? He is so loyal and smart as a whip. He could be a show dog and do all kinds of competition...frisbee, working a ranch, hiking, agility..you name it! If you're looking for a best friend and a partner in life..you couldn't ask for a better boy. Please take a second and give us a call about Domino...already crate-trained!May 22, 2024, 5:48 am
