Story
Here's what the humans have to say about me: Meet Major Say hello to Major! Major is an adorable Jack Russell terrier mix puppy who is approximately 10 months old and currently weighs 30 pounds. He was found on the side of the road with his two brothers in south Texas near the border of Mexico. The puppies were starving, covered with fleas and ticks and were just in terrible condition. Thankfully a private rescuer was able to help these puppies and get them into our care. They have come a very long way and are doing great now! They are just the sweetest little guys and are ready to find their loving forever homes! WATCH IS NEW VIDEO! https://youtu.be/jDMBilZLAYU?si=jXAvPiLp27VlyezN Major is a typical happy, playful puppy. He loves everyone he meets and is always ready for adventure! He has the best time playing with his toys and enjoys romping around the play yard with the other dogs in his play group. He loves getting attention and affection will make a very loving and fun addition to any family!!! Major is a sweet, social, smart and we can really see him doing in just about any family environment! Major is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $375. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application. *Major tested positive for Chagas disease and has started his treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Story
Meet Auburn Introducing Auburn! Auburn is a beautiful Cattle Dog / Heeler mix who is approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 30 pounds. We rescued this gorgeous gal from the Hondo, TX shelter and although we don’t really know much bout he background, it is clear that people have not always been very kind to her. During her spay surgery, our vet discovered that she had been shot in the leg with a pellet gun. All of that is behind her now and we are excited to help this sweet girl find the loving home she deserves. Auburn is a gentle and curious gal who does have a little bit of a warm-up period when meeting new people. She is very friendly but needs someone who will go slow with her so that she can feel comfortable knowing that she will be treated kindly. Once she feels safe, she loves getting attention and affection. She gets along well with the other dogs in her playgroup and does need a home where she has another non-dominant canine companion. She loves to run and play and would love to have another dog to help show her the ropes in her new home. She would do best in a quiet home without small children where she can get comfortable and settle in. With patience and lots of love we know Auburn will blossom and become a wonderful, loving companion to her new family. Auburn is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application. Auburn tested positive for Chagas disease and has started her treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Story
Hey there friends! The name is Tate, but my friends around here call me "Tater Tot" and "Tater" because I remind them of a potato in the best way possible , probably because of my round fluffy body and sweet personality that makes you feel all happy and mushy inside. Anyways, since we're on the topic of potatoes, I gotta say that I am your ideal couch potato! If you're looking for a laid back dude to cuddle on the couch with while watching movies and eating some snacks, I'm your guy. Even though I am a bit of a lazy guy, I ain't gonna sleep on snuggles! I love to lean my head and sometimes my whole body on you when I want some snuggles. I know I may not be your typical size for a lap dog, but that won't stop me from snuggling (and sometimes even falling asleep!) on your lap. I'm also a sucker for belly rubs, I can't go a day without them! While I'm not extremely active, I do love to zoom every once in a while and I do enjoy a good walk! I've been here for quite a long time, and it's pretty much all because I can be a bit intimidating in my kennel and shy at first with new people. But I promise outside of my kennel I'm a whole lot less scary and with some treats and time I'll be your number one snuggle buddy. I am truly the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for. Please give me a chance to experience having a home of my own.

Story
Hello, future family! I'm Super Max, and I'm here to show you that superheroes come in all shapes and sizes. I earned my name by being brave and strong, even when life was tough. When I was found, I had a collar that had painfully embedded into my neck, so it's no surprise that I'm a little unsure about wearing a leash and get nervous in new places. But don't worry-I'm learning to be brave every day! I've started walking well on a leash and am getting better with each step. I'm a calm and gentle soul who just needs a patient family to help me rebuild my faith in humans. With a little love and understanding, I know I can become the loyal and loving companion you're looking for.If you're ready to open your heart to a superhero like me, let's embark on this journey together. With your support, I'll show you just how super a dog can be!

Story
Mmm…Is that barbecue? More like barbeCUTE! If you’ve got a taste for rescue, you are sure to find your new bestie at our neighborhood cookout. Meet Sausage, Corn, Brisket, Tater, Pork Chop, Coleslaw and Mac! These yummy puppies are thought to be Chihuahua mixes, though we won’t know for sure without a DNA test. It is likely that they will become small or medium-sized dogs come adulthood. What we do know is that each of these babies has saucy little personalities! This is a frisky, loving and vocal bunch. Having been in a foster home at their young age, they are well-socialized with humans. They are seeking families who will commit to their care and training as they grow. These rescues will offer years of loyalty (and endless snuggles) in return. So, meet our Barbecue Litter while they’re hot! Apply now!
