Story
This handsome red heeler mix puppy is called Ernie and he and his brother Bert and their mom were found in a barn where they had been raised by their stray mother. Their mother was barely hanging on to life. The happy ending to her story is she is living with a wonderful family now and is loved and Ernie is looking for a wonderful family too raise him, love him, and bring his own special joy to. Ernie is a really delightful and well adjusted 6-month-old puppy that weighs 26 lb. He is a friendly little guy that enjoys meeting people and loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you. His innocence and love for life is contagious. He craves being with people that like him and speak kind words to him. He will crawl in your lap and be your best little buddy. His foster mom who raised he and his brother Bert says that he has the best temperament and personality. Recently this little guy went to a yoga class at the YMCA and had so much fun. It was a totally new and unique environment and he handled it with great poise and embraced all of the Zen vibes going on. Ernie is housebroken, crate trained, loves being around other cats and dogs alike and adores children. There isn't a living creature on this earth that he doesn't like. He is learning quite well,  how to walk on a leash and he rides in a car like a pro. He would be a great dog to take for hikes, long walks, outdoor events and adventures, and of course he would be a hit at any family reunions. Ernie is ready to call a family and their home his very own. My name is Cancun and I am a little 3 month  old red Heeler mix pup that is just as cute and fun as you can imagine from my looks.  I am 12 pounds and was just neutered last week and completed all of my shots and wormings and am fully ready to spread my wings and find my own dog pad in this world.  My foster mom found me and my sister and brother on her front porch steps in a box and she never knew who left us there. She said that word is out that she has a big heart and does rescue work.  Well I am thankful for her and what kind of care she has given us.  I love other dogs, adore cats and I am a great little guy to play with people at all times. Alfie is just the sweetest boy who is only 10 months old, weighs 48 pounds and has overcome so much in his young life.  This boy has overcome such a deep shyness with meeting new people and his foster mom has helped him learn confidence and the acceptance of affection from people.   He is a kind and sweet dog that is a medium energy, a kind spirit and good with other creatures in his life.  He is good with cats, dogs and just needs a slow introduction with new people.   Blue Sierra is a really stunning young 8 month old, 22 pound Blue Heeler that came to a farm in Tennessee as a stray with her sister Blue Lola. She does not pay any attention to cats, and would be best as the ONLY dog. She wants to be the queen. This girl is the Heeler personality that loves to be with her people, stay by your side and embodies the exuberance of the Herding Breed coupled with their intense intelligence.  We always say that this breed of dog is smarter than most people we know!   They can figure out problems and solve them totally on their own.  They never miss a beat with what is going on around them and they have a memory like an Elephant.  If you are familiar with the breed, have owned one or know a friend with one…you are probably smitten for life.  Once you have had a Heeler it is hard to consider a dog with less of a zest for life than this breed.  This girl has not got the manners down pat yet.  She was probably outside on her own for a while, but we know she can learn in two seconds. This petite little Blue Heeler/Jack Russell girl is a freckle festival that embodies energy, intelligence, love and a zest for living life to the fullest measure!!!  Her name is Zee and she was part of a litter of puppies being given away in a roadside parking lot in Middle Tennessee a few months back.  Zee is currently 8-9 months of age and is small, weighing only 26 pounds and fully grown now, she is ready for the right family who is active and fun!   This girl is bold, fast on her feet and always on the go mentally and then sometimes physically as well.  She is sharp as a tack and ready to learn, to go on an adventure (maybe a nice jog) and is adaptable in life.  She needs a really strong owner with leadership skills and who will set boundaries for her like you must do for children.  We think that older children 10 and above would fit her and her playful energy just right.  She does absorb the foster dad’s calm energy and lays peacefully at his feet while he works from home.  She does love people and especially men.  Zee is housebroken, crate trained and working on leash manners.  She was not walked much previously on a leash but this can be learned easily.  She is smart and quick to learn.  Zee is a combo breed of dogs that can cuddle but not all day.    She would be a great running and hiking partner as she is a dog with lots of stamina and drive.  She plays well with other dogs and is good around the resident cat at the foster home.  If you are interested in this freckled, little munchkin, please email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue  ccrnewengland@gmail.com  She is ready to go!!!
