Story
Hi, we have had Ruby for almost 5 months. We got her from a family friend who was in desperate need of getting rid of her as his dog was trying to harm her. We took her in, in consideration we could get her trained as an emotional service animal for our 4 year old special needs child. Ruby is very possessive (which is good and bad), as she nips our children, while thinking she’s protecting me. My children have no interest in her and she may be jealous of them, but she’s a very timid dog. We’re not sure how she was treated in her previous home, but we are very scared she might hurt our kids, thinking they’re going to hurt me. She is very scared of everything and will not use the bathroom outside if there’s a distraction, as she’ll bark. So much so, if any distraction, such as kids or other animals, get close to her, she will bark so much, her bark will crack and she’ll urinate. I’m unsure of what to do, and the vet recommended a distraction bag, and it still hasn’t been a success.

Story
This heeler gal is looking for a new home. If you play fetch with her she will become your best friend. Fetch is her favorite thing ever! Maggie has great skills in: -Manners! She knows how to sit, stay, place, and kennel with the best of them! She went to our PACK Program and learned all kinds of fun things. -Snuggling! She enjoys a good snuggle with her people after a game of fetch. -Playtime! Maggie likes to play with her humans the most. If toys are put up and the dog is submissive, she may get along with them. If your home has kids older than 10 (little ones freak her out a bit), and are looking for a dog to play fetch with, she may be a good fit for you. She doesn't love kitty cats, so it's best she isn't in a home with them. When it comes to the other dogs, we will do a dog meeting to make sure it's a match. She would also thrive being the only queen in the house. Apply to meet this beauty today!

Story
Hi, I'm Canuta! I'm a super affectionate girl with a real zest for life. I love puzzle toys, playing with stuffed animals, taking walks (I'm working hard to perfect my leash manners!) and watching squirrels. My enthusiasm can overwhelm young children so I would do a best in a home with kids ages 14 and up. I'm also crate trained and highly food motivated, so I pick up on things pretty quick. With time and patience, I'm ready to learn any new tricks and skills that you'd like to teach me! After I get my youthful energy out, I'm ready to relax and sunbathe. I absolutely love snuggling and being with people! If you are looking for a fun and loyal friend who wants to be right by your side, look no further and ask about me today.

Meet Marvelous Max, an enthusiastic and lively pup with energy to spare! This spirited canine is always ready for action, whether it's a long hike, a game of fetch, or a challenging puzzle toy. He thrives in an environment where he can stay busy and engaged, so he will need a home that can provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. While their zest for life is contagious, Max can sometimes get a little mouthy during playtime. With consistent training, positive reinforcement, and a variety of enriching activities, he will quickly learn to channel that energy in the right direction. Story
Meet Goose! He is a year-and-a-half-old heeler who is looking for a new home. His current family loves him dearly and is looking for the best possible home for him.  Our family adores Mr. Goose, and we recognize that he needs a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play catch! We cannot provide this for him and, therefore, feel it is best for him to find a home where he can play outside regularly.   Goose has a lot of energy, but not over the top (he doesn't chew on shoes or furniture, but he is known to grab a stuffy that he thinks is his toy). He is wonderful with people, including kids.   Currently, Goose goes to doggie camp 3x a week, so we know he does well with other dogs. Goose is not a fan of cats. He is housebroken, knows come/stay/off/down/shake commands, and really wants to play fetch! He is learning to love the water, and his super webbed paws would make him an excellent swimmer. He has even been paddle boarding!   He is a loving, well-behaved pup who needs to spread his wings more! August 16, 2024, 4:22 pm

Story
Meet Hank! Hank is an distinguished gentleman on the search for a new home. He needs a home with no small kids. He doesn't share his food well when kids are around so he needs either no kids in his home or teenagers who know how to respect his boundaries. Hank does fine with dogs his size or smaller, but doesn't love dogs that are larger than him. He's a big boy, around 75 pounds. He could stand to loose a few pounds, but what better way than hiking and walking with his new family member!? Hank has been around cats, but prefers they stay away from him and his space. Hank is used to being groomed and does know how to use a doggy door. He does get allergies which result in itching and ear infections from time to time. His new owner will just have to manage them and be aware that they may occur. Apply to meet this big boy, and be prepared to snuggle!

Story
Trip is looking for a new home to dote on him and give him the love he deserves. He hasn't always had the easiest life. His parents recently separated and he needs to find a new home. He does ok with some dogs, but not all. He'll need to meet any potential new fur siblings. He seems to be fine around cats and has been around kids. Mostly teenagers, but we think he'd be fine around most ages. He's an older fella but still has a lot of life and love to give. Will you take a chance on him? **Trip's adoption fee has been sponsored in full by a generous donor.**

Story
Meet this cutie Bourbon. Bourbon hasn't had the easiest start to life. He was outside a lot and in a dog pen a majority of the time. Some kind folks helped him get out of that situation and now he is ready to start fully enjoying his life! He seems to do well around other dogs, and decent around older children. He is shy and a bit reserved at first, but within 15 minutes he started to trust us and come around for dog treats and cheese! Once he's comfortable with his people and surroundings, he shows his personality. He has lots of energy and needs an outlet for that. He will eventually roll over and into your lap for some quality cuddle time and belly rubs. When he met the cats at our center, he wasn't too concerned about them, but we do not have any history of him living with them. If you're in the market for a cute Aussie like Bourbon, apply today!
