I am soft tempered, kind, and looking for a forever home with humans to love and cherish me. I am great with dogs of all sizes. currently in a foster home with a little dog. I am house broken and crate trained. Afraid of elevators but overcoming that fear more every day-ha! SHYA is a 1 year 3 month old Australian Kelpie, weighing about 28lbs. She was lost and taken to an overcrowded shelter where she was not claimed in time and was due to be euthanized, but was saved by an emergency foster at the last minute. She now needs her forever home as soon as possible. Shya is very sweet and loving, but a bit shy, timid and scared (non-aggressive, submissive), and needs preferably a female human with a little time and patience to help her learn to trust again. She settled into her foster home within a couple of hours, and is very playful and affectionate with her foster mom. She loves cuddles and belly rubs! Shya does suffer from some separation anxiety, and will need to be helped through this. Shya gets on well with other dogs. Submissive and cautious at first, she loves to chase and be chased by small dogs, or dogs her own size. Wrestling is also great fun! She is good with large, chill dogs, but scared of boisterous dogs, or dogs that bark continually. SHYA is fully housebroken, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is smart, with a lovely temperament, and will make a wonderful addition to a loving person’s life. I got Max when he was a 5 month old pup. He seemed a bit shy at first, but warmed up to us after some treats. After bringing him home, I noticed within a week that he did not take kindly to strangers. He would need to warm up to everyone he meets, and would fearfully bite any stranger trying to pet him. Fast forward to today, he is now a 14-month-old beautiful looking dog. He is very smart and energetic, and responds well to his commands (sit, stay, come) and is protective and loving to his family, but his fear aggression toward strangers is still very present. He has bitten a couple people and I am fearful of him biting more. One thing to note, however, is that he LOVES other dogs and can play with them all day. Unfortunately, he just has this biting problem that I can't seem to control, and it lowers my confidence as his owner. As much as I love Max, I decided it is best to rehome him to someone who can give him what he needs.
