Meet…Bennett Bennett was pulled by us from Newton County Animal Control. Bennett was a little skinny when we got him, so we put some groceries on him and he is now ready to find his fur-ever home! Bennett looks like he is a mix of an Australian Kelpie and Doberman Pincher. He is about 1-1/2 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm negative and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Being so young he has a lot of energy. We hope to introduce him to another Saved By Grace dog soon to see how he get along with dogs. We are unsure how he is with cats. Bennett's a happy, fun loving dog! Ridge appears to be around 2 years old, and weighs 29lbs. We suspect he is an Australian Kelpie.mix, as he shows nautral instincts of herding. In foster care we learned he is house trained, and very smart. Best suited with older kids due to his energy. He enjoys interacting with all humans but NO CATS for him, because he will chase and scare them! He was fine with a female dog, but hasn't been formally tested with males. I love people-though I'm not a fan of small children-so I would thrive with someone who is home most of the time. I'm very social and curious, always needing to know where my humans are. Whether it's waiting outside your shower door, lying beside you, or walking at your side, I'm always close by. Eating and getting attention are my top favorites, and I love basking in the sun whenever I get the chance.During my Beltline outing, I was full of energy, and my leash was a bit tense as I eagerly explored. I met some new people and couldn't wait to approach them for a bit of petting-my tail was wagging non-stop.One thing to note is that I don't like motorcycles, skateboards, and rollerblades, so I'd do great in a quiet suburb somewhere!I'm not a fan of small dogs or cats, so it's best if I don't live with them and I might be a bit too enthusiastic around small children. I promise to be the life of every party (or day!) in your life. I am a smart boy who already knows sit and lay down. I love treats, so I bet I can be coerced to learn even more tricks. I really enjoy food puzzles. I'm pretty excited when I first meet new people, but I settle quite nicely. I have the perfect combination of puppy zing with a side of maturity.
