Story
I am a 4yr old Australian Shepard mix and I am sweet, gentle, soft, fluffy pup and I'm ready for an adventure! I get a little nervous meeting new people, but once I trust you, I expect butt scratches right away- and if you stop scratching me, I'll remind you to please continue. I like my personal space, but I equally love hugs and kisses at the right time too. I love my kennel, I use it for naps and sometimes to sleep at night, or just to feel safe. I have a very silly personality and sometimes when I shake my head my tongue flops out since I'm missing a tooth- it's a cool trick of mine. I love sleeping and playing with my two other dog siblings all day. I also have super cool eyes, but they just need some eyedrops everyday so that I can see better, but I'll just lay here while you put them in for me! I love being outside, especially with a few inches of snow on my back in a little dirt bed I made myself. Hiking, camping, rock climbing- lets go! I'm always looking for a reason to get on my harness and get out of the house to explore and I love a car ride! Dog parks are some of my favorite places to be and I love swimming in creeks too. I am kennel/potty trained and know all my basic commands. I'm still working on my leash manners and reactivity. I'm not very food motivated with training but I'll do just about anything for some butt scratches! (and maybe I'll do my butt scratch tap dance for you if I REALLY like you) I love living with other dogs but I'd do best in a home without cats. I haven't warmed up to small children/babies just yet. Sometimes when our baby wants to play with me, but I don't want to play with her, I get a little upset and leave. It would be ideal that any children in the home would be old enough to understand my boundaries. Children 13 years old and older might be best. My mom gets me super durable bones and toys to play with and LOTS of bouncy balls for fetch- my favorite! My ideal home could have dogs or could not- I am happy either way. It would also be a place where I got a lot of love and pets, lots and lots of adventures and outdoor time, and a mom and/or dad who just want to spoil me. I'd do best without cats in the home and with children 13 years of age or older. My adoption fee includes a personalized training program.

Story
Sparky is a 3 yr energetic boy who has a drive to go after chickens and bunnies which is why he was returned to us, so no access to chickens or bunnies is a must.  He's very affectionate, loves his humans. Good with other dogs (even tiny ones) and kids. He is house trained after getting comfortable in his foster home.  Sparky knows his name,  will come when called,  will sit for treats,  has no resource guarding. He likes being outside,  would be happy with a big yard and lots of activity.  If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt ##1107088##

Story
Moly is a really good dog. Eager to please, and full of energy. She needs someone who is active, or has a big yard for her to run around in. She can be a bit standoffish at fiirst, but warms up quickly.

Story
Highlights: -Would do best with a confident canine sibling -Would do best with a fenced yard -Prefers older children Meet Millie, a 27 pound girl! Though shy with new people, Millie blossoms into a social butterfly with people she trusts. She excitedly play bows and does the most adorable zoomies around her familiar human friends, grinning and hopping around joyfully. She can also be seen wagging her rear and tossing around a toy from time to time. Millie does well with other dogs and is comforted by their presence. Though she prefers they respect her personal space while she gets to know them, she becomes a total goofball and is very playful once she's comfortable with another dog. Millie would do best in a home with a canine sibling to help her adjust to her new life.Because she can be skittish at first, Millie would do best in a home with a fenced yard. We recommend a home with no young children as she prefers a quiet, calmer environment. Millie will thrive in a patient home with another confident dog. She has so much joy in her heart and lots of love to give to her forever family! If you would like a chance to be Millie's family and watch her blossom, please apply at NMDR.org.- - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. Because some of our dogs are very under socialized, they may not be a good fit for young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, many of these dogs come around with patience and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Story
Highlights: -Prefers calmer environment-Can live with dogs who respect my personal space Hi, I'm Beauford, a 44-pound male Australian Shepherd with a big heart. I get along well with dogs who respect my space and don't get too in my face. Truthfully, though, I prefer people over dogs. There's nothing I enjoy more than hanging out with my humans and getting lots of pets. If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, look no further! I am, in fact, the CUDDLIEST buddy of all cuddle buddies.I'm vision impaired, so I sometimes need a confident person to walk with me, but I do walk on a leash. Despite my limited vision, I navigate the world with enthusiasm and love. Are you ready to give a loyal and affectionate companion like me a forever home? Let's enjoy plenty of quality time and create lasting memories together!*******Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. Story
Hi there! I'm Everett, a 26-pound male Australian Shepherd. I might be a little shy at first, but once I warm up to you, I'll happily approach you for some attention. Treats are the way to my heart, and I'll be your best friend if you have some to share.I enjoy the company of other calm dogs and prefer to stay away from the high-energy ones. I'm a pretty chill fellow who just wants to hang out with a new friend. I've made a great transformation since my first grooming. When I came in, I was extremely matted and in pain, but after being groomed, my personality truly blossomed. I walk on a leash freely now and feel much more confident and happy. You'll know I'm excited by my joyful butt wiggles! Are you ready to be my new best friend? Let's enjoy some relaxed, happy times together!- - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization.
