Story
***Staff thinks I will be ready by late March. Hoss is very confident and playful, on the quieter side, calm and chill, lovable boy *** I am not currently at the shelter because I`m growing big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal. Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. We want to be healthy for our new life together!

Story
I'm a lovely senior Mini Aussie / mix with one blue eye. I will come to your home with my best buddy Jerry! We are Ben & Jerry! We need to stay together. I love humans and really enjoy scratches. I am crate trained, know some basic commands, and love to go on walks. I am potty trained, but did have a few accidents when I first came to my foster home, most likely to the change in diet and stress of a new living situation. I am a bit overweight, but my foster is working hard to rectify that much to my disappointment, because I like cookies a lot. I like going for walks and getting scratched and of course getting cookies. I'm not quite as confident as my brother Jerry, but if he's getting attention, I definitely want a piece of the action too. I am fine with other dogs but can be a bit reserved, choosing instead to hang with my brother or other quiet members of my foster-pack. I have been living with several cats and don't pay attention to them at all. I'm not sure if I like kids, but as long a they are respectful, I'm pretty sure I would. I don't play much with toys, but I love to chew on cow hooves. My Adoption Fee includes a training program specific for my needs.

Story
Padawan is a gorgeous pup who loves to love. He is super sweet and so smart. He loves all dogs, humans, his squeaky toys and walks; his harness not so much but he is getting use to it.  He is house trained and sleeps in a large play pen with his brother. He uses the doggie door during the day.  Padawan is the perfect dog, he just wants to dog, he is not an alpha male. He is goofy and clumsy as he is still growing into his big paws. He will make a wonderful family dog. If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt ##2336827##

Story
Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogBiography Important Information Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children, and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi! My name is Cupcake , and I am a beautiful Australian Shepherd girl who was born 12/8/23, and I weigh 43 pounds. I am a working breed so I must have a large, secure yard or acreage with a sibling to help me lean about this big new world.  If you have been waiting for a gorgeous Aussie, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Story
Polaris is a 5 year old pure bred Aussie from Oklahoma. If new home is willing to stay in contact and provide an additional $100, I can find and provide the ASDR pure bred registration papers. She is super sweet and loving with lots of energy. As an Australian Shepherd with lots of energy, she is better suited with kids over the age of 3 or 4 years old. I do not know if it is all cats, but we have one cat that she doesnt get along with (it could be the cat more than her but would advise to reconsider if you have cats). She has done well with all dogs so far. She grew up with two other female dogs. Reasons for rehoming: In process of moving, forced into a smaller home where we can no longer separate dogs on separate level than cats. There is a pet limit that we exceed by 1. And, we have a baby and thinking of another. She loves kids but is bigger and hyper active causing the baby to fall down when she tries to play/lick
