You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please read the bio of the rescue you are interested in to insure you are a match if you are a match the first step is to complete the online adoption application  Ty was originally adopted in April of 2023 from us. Unfortunately his mom moved to a condo and they said he had to go. He has learned alot and is house and pad trained. He does pretty well on leash. He is a sweet mini Aussie who is romping ready to find his furever family. This boy has lots of energy and would do best with an active family.    If you’re looking for a companion that can keep up with the kids, join your family for a hike, but then relax next to your feet at the end of the day, this may be the perfect breed for you.  Ty is up to date on his vaccines,  dewormed,  microchipped and current on preventatives. He is also neutered. If interested in possible adoption please go to www.DelawareRescue.com and complete the online adoption application   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. If you are interested in adopting please read the information here and then complete our online adoption application. One of our volunteers will contact you once the application has been processed.  If this animal is listed as a courtesy posting for another rescue please go to their website to complete the online adoption application.     August 19, 2024, 11:32 am

Story
Hi, my name is Roulette in Boonsboro, MD. I am a very lovable, beautiful red merle girl around 2 years of age and about 50 lbs. I love to be with my human, and I connect very quickly. My foster mom must watch when she walks because I am always right there beside her. She tells me that I am like velcro, but I don't know what that is. I spent a month at Mason Dixon K9 to teach me some commands, and I'm doing well with most of them. While there, I learned how to walk very nicely on a leash, and I don't even pull! I think I'm a very good girl and my foster mom tells me that I am, so I must be. I am very quiet in the car, and I really like car rides, so please don't be afraid to take me places with you. It is important for my new family to be consistent and continue my training. If you give me an inch, I may take a mile and try to push the boundaries. Structure and a calm home are super important to me. I am still learning every day! I am not a big fan of the crate, but I will go it in more easily now than I did at first. I love to play with toys! Big toys, little toys, squeaky toys, you name it and I'l play with it. I like to play with my foster fur sister, but I play a little rough for her. I would be fine as an only dog, but I think I would get used to having a larger brother or sister. A fenced yard would be best, so I can expend my abundant energy. I have a high tolerance to physical activity, so my adopter should be physically active and be ready to play mental games with me as well. My foster mom doesn't have human kids, but I have been around some. They are very interesting to watch, but young kids overwhelm me. I think I would do best with teenagers and older. I am a herding dog and do tend to herd young children especially if they are running. I was just spayed, so I must take it easy for a little while. I am ready to find a family of my own that I can love and have them love me too. I am pretty much housebroken, but I could stand a little more work in that area. I walk well on a leash but will pull some if I see something very interesting. I LOVE walks! If you have a place in your heart for a girl that is so full of love to give and wants to be with you as much as possible, I am that girl! I would love to meet you, and if you have any fur babies already, I will need to meet them. I think I play too rough for smaller dogs. I am being fostered in Boonsboro, Maryland. Here is the application:https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to my new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
ABOUT LENNOX Lars and Lennox are 3.5 month old shepherd mixes, weighing about 30 lbs. These sweet, beautiful pups are from a litter of 8 that we saved last month. Their litter quickly went to foster, thankfully avoiding the state-wide Canine Influenza outbreak many shelters are facing. They were examined by our vet this week and have been cleared for adoption from their foster home! In their foster home, they have met adult dogs, children, and shown curiosity with cats. Here is what their foster has to say about them: "Lennox is white with adorable spots and Lars is a blonde beauty! Their sweet, affectionate, and loving personalities are sure to melt hearts. They adore going for walks, playing with each other, and exploring in the backyard. They love meeting people and have done wonderfully with children. Both are very well-mannered when meeting other dogs, trying to play whenever they get the chance! Lennox is learning to walk on a leash and is very good at sitting on command. Lars does a great job coming when called, joyfully sprinting over to you. Their interests include chasing balls or sticks, playing with hard chew toys, and napping. Lennox enjoys being pet and belly rubs. While Lars is a big time snuggler, climbing into your lap. Above all, Lennox and Lars love life!" Lars & Lennox are not a bonded pair and can be adopted separately by-appointment! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
We'll also keep you updated on Lars's adoption status with email updates.
