Huxlee is a well mannered 45 lbs mix breed 3 year old boy. He would do best in a home with children over 12 and no other dogs. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Meet Goose Maverick! Goose Maverick is a friendly Australian Shepherd with a beautiful tri-color merle coat. He is almost two-years-old and weighs 51 pounds. Goose Maverick is also polite and calm, has great house manners, and is completely housebroken – no accidents. Maverick is medium energy, but as a young Aussie, he has spurts of energy to burn and would do great with a fenced yard where he can chase balls and run around. Goose Maverick currently lives with his foster family inside the city where he walks well on a leash and/or harness and rides well in the car. Maverick is a non-chewer, non-destructive, and while he doesn't need to be crated, he is okay with it if needed. He has lived with other dogs and is excited to meet them when he goes for walks. Maverick is great with touching and is a cuddle bug. He loves to come to you for pets and belly rubs. He knows basic commands like come and sit and is working on others.
