Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sky (who we call Mango because she is super sweet) is a tiny (15 lbs) Australian Shepherd. Sky is a breeder-release mama who spent her whole life until she was rescued raising puppies and living in a small kennel. She has spent the last two months learning how to be a pet dog and is loving her new life. She was not used to ever being pet or carried, so is still hand-shy when you reach down, but she LOVES attention and loves to cuddle. She is smart and curious, and she picks things up quickly. She is playful and happy, although understandably nervous of new things. She is learning basic obedience, like sitting for a treat and how to walk on a leash. Sky is crate trained and crated when noone is home, but barks at first when you leave (she stops pretty quickly, but may not work out great in a home with shared walls). She gets very, very excited when you come home. She is pretty housebroken on a schedule, but does not yet ask to go out. She will probably have a few accidents at first, but she doesn't have accidents overnight  and does well during the day if you take her out every few hours. She loves toys and loves running around outside, although is very much a velcro dog and stays right by your side--inside and out. She is good with other dogs and cats. Probably not a good fit for little kids as they'd make her nervous but would be fine with older respectable kids who understand she will need time to come out of her shell. She is a great balance of playful lapdog--would be a fantastic companion to someone who is retired or works from home.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. Story
Meet Cotton Candy! Meet the sweetest, funniest, goofiest boy around. Cotton is a little over a year old and full of Aussie energy. Cotton is looking for a family that has a great sense of humor and an understanding of the needs of this fun breed.Cotton is a double merle as is evident by his fluffy, white coat. It also can impact vision and hearing. In Cotton’s case he is completely deaf but does have some vision- mainly shadows. But this has ZERO effect on this boy and the wonderful life he will live!Cotton loves playing with other dogs and is generally fantastic with them- he is still a young, male Aussie that can’t always read other dog’s signals. Occasionally, he irks his companions but he’s a quick study and rarely repeats a misstep. He has been as respectful as he’s able to with the resident cats. Cotton loves all humans he meets- big and small!Cotton is a good boy in his crate and has (knocks on wood) figured out house training like a champ. Cotton loves to go for runs with his foster dad and is great at it. He’d be a wonderful training companion. Cotton is an active boy and needs to keep his brain and body busy. He’s smart and willing. Training him is a joy!Cotton is looking for a family that will encourage, train and help him continue to live a wonderfully full life. Herding dog knowledge is helpful but not necessary if you are willing and able to provide him the stimulation he needs. He does need another, welcoming dog in his new home. The give him a familiar, easy way to learn his new environment.Cotton will be endless laughs and the occasional head shake for his new family. They will truly be the lucky ones!So cute! Super cute!Cotton has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on his vaccinations. He has also tested negative for heartworm disease. His adoption fee is $450.00 plus sales tax. Please submit an adoption application if you have questions about Cotton or would like to meet him.

Story
Beau is a super friendly & affectionate 7-year-old miniature Australian Shepherd. He is an active and high-energy dog which comes naturally with his breed. Because of this, he would ideally be placed with a family that can provide a yard and daily walks for him. He’s great with people and other dogs and cats. He travels well and he’s overall an excellent dog. I'm confident that as long as you are consistent as the owner, Beau will listen to all your commands. His one fault is separation anxiety— he wants to be apart of everything all the time. He must be placed with a family that can provide the attention and love he requires and deserves. Unfortunately, I’m moving at the end of the month and my new place has restrictions on dogs. I’m so sad to part with Beau but I look forward to placing him with a family that can fulfill all his needs. He's seriously the best!

Story
Meet Carmen, a sweet 8-month-old breeder release mini Aussiedoodle puppy. She is small around 10 lbs. She’s a brave little girl who has learned to trust and enjoy the world around her. Like any typical puppy, she loves to explore, play with toys, and curl up for cozy naps, though she can be a bit reserved when meeting new people. With her soft, wavy coat, Carmen is perfect for cuddling on the couch. She does best with other dogs around. She is still working on leash training. She is used to a fenced yard. She is kennel trained.   Carmen came in to rescue on Jan. 3 with a wounded back leg. She had a lacerated Achilles tendon, which was repaired. She has been wearing a cast and got cast exchanges every two weeks. The final cast removal was Monday March 3 and she is learning to walk on that leg again. We will give her a little time to walk comfortably and then she can be adopted. Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org Adoption fee $350 plus tax

Story
Nebula, a truly beautiful dog. While her past holds some hardship – she was found living on the streets with her seven puppies – her spirit shines through. Nebula is a sweet and beautiful girl, possessing a gentle nature that will blossom with the right amount of patience and understanding. Nebula's intelligence is evident in her quick grasp of commands. She's already house-trained and crate-trained, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt. She enjoys walks immensely, exhibiting a calm and easy-going temperament. What Nebula truly desires is a loving home where she can finally feel safe and secure. While her street life has made her initially cautious around new people, once she builds trust, her playful puppy-like energy resurfaces. It's a beautiful transformation to witness. We believe Nebula would thrive in a quiet and patient home, ideally with someone experienced in working with dogs who have experienced trauma. With the right care, she'll become the most loyal and loving companion imaginable. If you're interested in learning more about Nebula and potentially offering her a loving forever home, please don't hesitate to contact us. $200 In State Adoption Fee (in Texas) $400 Out of State Fee (includes Transportation to your area) $50 Temporary fuel surcharge.
