Beau is a super friendly & affectionate 7-year-old miniature Australian Shepherd. He is an active and high-energy dog which comes naturally with his breed. Because of this, he would ideally be placed with a family that can provide a yard and daily walks for him. He’s great with people and other dogs and cats. He travels well and he’s overall an excellent dog. I'm confident that as long as you are consistent as the owner, Beau will listen to all your commands. His one fault is separation anxiety— he wants to be apart of everything all the time. He must be placed with a family that can provide the attention and love he requires and deserves. Unfortunately, I’m moving at the end of the month and my new place has restrictions on dogs. I’m so sad to part with Beau but I look forward to placing him with a family that can fulfill all his needs. He's seriously the best!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sky (who we call Mango because she is super sweet) is a tiny (15 lbs) Australian Shepherd. Sky is a breeder-release mama who spent her whole life until she was rescued raising puppies and living in a small kennel. She has spent the last two months learning how to be a pet dog and is loving her new life. She was not used to ever being pet or carried, so is still hand-shy when you reach down, but she LOVES attention and loves to cuddle. She is smart and curious, and she picks things up quickly. She is playful and happy, although understandably nervous of new things. She is learning basic obedience, like sitting for a treat and how to walk on a leash. Sky is crate trained and crated when noone is home, but barks at first when you leave (she stops pretty quickly, but may not work out great in a home with shared walls). She gets very, very excited when you come home. She is pretty housebroken on a schedule, but does not yet ask to go out. She will probably have a few accidents at first, but she doesn't have accidents overnight and does well during the day if you take her out every few hours. She loves toys and loves running around outside, although is very much a velcro dog and stays right by your side--inside and out. She is good with other dogs and cats. Probably not a good fit for little kids as they'd make her nervous but would be fine with older respectable kids who understand she will need time to come out of her shell. She is a great balance of playful lapdog--would be a fantastic companion to someone who is retired or works from home. Sara is an incredibly loving, engaging companion who can't wait to meet you and everyone in your life! She LOVES people and getting all the affection, and she presses her head so gently into your legs as she gets pets, it's the sweetest thing. She's super intelligent and treat-motivated, and she's very attuned to direction from her people. She will be amazing to train for whatever her future family wants, whether that's just as a perfect house pet and walking companion with the occasional weekend adventure or a life partner interested in nosework, agility, or any other sports. She is confident and outgoing, loves exploring outdoors, and when it's time to settle down she is the BEST snuggler. She can curl herself up into the tiniest little ball at your side or stretch across your lap to be the best weighted blanket. Sara is curious about the cats in the house and greets them with a sniff and a kiss on the head and doesn't seem to have any interest in chasing them, which is fantastic for a hound/herding mix! She is also curious about the chickens but doesn't show prey drive with them either. Score! Sara's a special girl looking for her perfect fit, is that you?
