You can ask any Tom, Dick, or Stanley... and they'll tell you whose team they prefer to be on... And this handsome Gaston could be your very own. But like the Gaston in Disney's Beauty and Beast, this guy can be full of himself and is going to need a home to channel his energy, focus his intelligence, and build his trust. Gaston was part of a litter of pups who were surrendered at over 5 months of age. He did not receive appropriate socialization as a puppy, and as a result he can be very untrusting and nervous in new situations. Fortunately, Gaston can be bribed and once he is comfortable with new people and new places is quite the cuddly companion. Gaston does enjoy some other dogs, but he is a resource guarder and would be best in a home where he is the only dog. Gaston's herding and stalking genes are strong, so cats and small animals would likely not want him in their home.   Gaston would be best suited to an adult home with the time and energy to match his and give him the lifelong training his busy brain deserves. Gaston is starting to learn how to walk on leash, is getting the housetraining ideas down, and we are sure he will learn his basic manners very quickly.
