In Olmsted Township - Hey everyone! Let us introduce you to Mr. Max R. Roni. Max is an almost 7 year old Australian Shepherd. He’s had a sad past, losing his home, his mom and dad and now looking for a forever home to accept him as he is. It’s time for Max to find his furever home and thrive. Max came to ASF grossly overweight. He has been with his foster for several months trying to get some of his weight off and to help him be happy again. He’s lost a lot of weight already and is feeling much better. Max is a gentle old soul. When in the house, he’s pretty chill… he’ll find his spot and most of the time he’ll hang there alone. He will bring you his tennis ball (his FAVORITE toy) and wants you to toss it once he gives it to you. Max really loves butt rubs and being petted. He gets super excited to go outside and play ball or chase or catch a rolled Frisbee. When it’s time to quit, he just finds a spot to lay down. Max gets nervous on car rides and isn’t a fan. He’s very content staying at home. Walks are okay; he’s a bigger boy so he does pull some. Max is great left in the house all day: no accidents, no destruction. He does like the couch and would prefer to share your bed. Max has an issue with resource guarding toys… all toys belong to Max. Thus, a home with a submissive female or as an only dog would be best. His submissive 2 year old female foster sister Aussie plays chase with him but will drop any toy she has when Max comes near. He wasn’t nice the first time, so she just lets him have any toy. (The male Aussie in the house did not back down and this didn’t go well at all.) Due to his resource guarding, a home with small children would not be advised nor any dominant dog. Max is a sweet boy who just needs to find the right home. Someone to pet him on the couch, toss the ball for him once in while, take him out in the yard while you work or enjoy sitting and watching the day pass. Max is neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, housebroken, crate trained, and on HW/flea prevention. He is currently being fostered in Olmsted Township, OH. There is an additional $20 fee to transfer his microchip to his new owners. All adoption fees go to help rescue other dogs like Max. His Name is Fergus. He is 3 years old (birthday is September 8th). He is 30ish pounds a little bit bigger than our cat, and still has to lay in the cat beds. We rescued him from an abusive situation. So he is still pretty frightened by nosies, and touch. He does good when it is just me. But he hates being touched by my littlest. It just frightens him. This is why we are rehoming. He need a place where he is not frightened all day. He is Crate trained. And potty trained, but due to his fear he can pee due to loud noises and especially thunder storms. He loves walks and running! He also loves cheese, and demands the cheese tax lol. We are asking for $150 for the rehoming fee and are including all of his things Crate, toys, choke collar (he like to pull on walks if not wearing this with this he does so good) food and remaining treats.

***MAZIE MAE IS A COURTESY POST - SHE IS NOT IN OUR CARE*** Mazie Mae is 10 yrs old and 67 lbs, she is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Mazie Mae's current family can no longer keep her due to recent health conditions. Since we are currently full and on an intake hold, we are trying to help her find a new home. Mazie Mae is very friendly, very easy to take care of and is very low maintenance. She LOVES kids and being around them. She lived with another dog in the past but she has not been around cats since she was a puppy. She is crate trained and house broken. She has a leaky bladder that she was recently medicated for and the medicine has been working great. She will need to be on this medication for the rest of her life. The medicine costs $135/year.
