Story
Meet Cadet! 🚀🐾 Cadet is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a striking white and red merle coat and adorable curly wire fur. He has a unique look with one small eye (microphthalmia), but don't let that fool you—this boy is as sharp as they come! Cadet is deaf, but that doesn't slow him down one bit. He’s incredibly smart, attentive, and eager to learn, making him a great candidate for hand signals and positive reinforcement training. He’s also super sweet, affectionate, and ready to bond with his new family. 🏥 Health Notes: Cadet is lightly heartworm positive, but he's already received a full year of treatment and is on a solid health plan. His eyes and ears are structurally sound and cause him no pain. Physically healthy with strong skeletal health—just a happy, lovable pup! 💙 If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind, loving companion, Cadet is ready to steal your heart. 🐶 Ready to give Cadet a forever home? Story
Chief is a spirited and affectionate Mini Australian Shepherd who has been a beloved member of my family since April 1st, 2019. He's more than just a pet—he's a bundle of joy, always eager to bring a smile to your face. Chief is just over 5 years old, making him the perfect balance of playful energy and mature companionship. Personality: Chief is incredibly loving and thrives on attention. He’s always ready for a game of fetch, although his favorite part is the chase—bringing the ball back is optional in his book! His playful nature is matched only by his loyalty and desire to be close to his humans. Chief is looking for a home where he can continue to receive the love and attention he deserves. He would thrive in an environment where he can play, explore, and be a central part of the family. Ideally, his new home would have a yard for him to run around in and people who are as excited to spend time with him as he is with them.

Story
Gwen is a sweet and high energy female but is alpha and, unfortunately, does not get along with my other dog that I've had longer. She is great if she gets daily exercise (at least 20 mins in morning and evening, prefers to chase her ball). I have driven across country with her numerous times and she is great on a road trip. She can be anxious at times, which I've learned is a trait she got from her father. Keeping her exercised and using CBD oil helps keep her calm. I I'd like to rehome her only with someone who is familiar with her breed.

Story
Kibbie is an energetic, curious, healthy and adorable young dog. While cautious when meeting others for the first time, Kibbie is very loving and affectionate with his own pack of people, friends and dogs. Already well trained in the basics, including thoroughly potty trained, going outside 2 -3 times per day and never has had indoor potty accidents. Very responsive to training. Kibbie is an inside dog and wants a home with a yard to play, walks to sniff and people around whom he can laze about inside comfortably. We are currently fostering Kibbie until we can find an ideal forever home. We already have two young dogs in our home and are unable to home a 3rd one indefinitely. Our young adult niece rescued Kibbie from the Austin Animal Center in January, 2024 when he was approximately 1 year old. Due to recent changes in her life, she is unable to continue to keep him. Kibbie currently lives happily with our family in a home with a yard, two big dogs and a teenager!

Story
Chimi was found in a backyard in San Angelo, and no owners were able to be located. She is a playful girl who loves fetch with her ball, and tug-o-war. She can be shy and timid at times, so will need to be brought out of her shell. She can get along with other dogs, but as she is a dominant type of dog, would be best in a single dog household. She doesn't like change very much, as it makes her anxious, so would prefer to be in a home with low excitement/change and low traffic. However, she can be made more comfortable with change by bringing her favorite toys along with her. She can be slow to warm up to certain humans, which makes her decision to give love feel even more rewarding when it does happen. She likes walks in quiet, non-busy parks, and likes a good backyard to chase the ball around in. She knows plenty of commands, like sit, lay down, stay, bedtime/go to bed, and go potty. She loves treats, and is not a picky eater. She is up to date on her shots, and has full vet records.
