Oaks came to us with his 4 litter mates not long after being born under a neighbors shed, 2/12/24. We were able to get them safe on our property and setup so the mom (sweet but feral) could come and go. Oaks was one of the biggest in the litter and has always been a little bit timid. He isnt a fan of his brother right now, but we think that would change when fixed. Weve held off in an effort to allow his body to develop as much as possible and avoid future health issues. Hes currently just under 45lb and likely full grown. Oaks wants to bond with a special person or two. He needs a person to be with as much as possible. Hes an old man in a young body and just wants to snuggle. We believe his confidence will improve when hes able to truly bond and have a place of his own. Hes been around poultry, dogs, cats, kids ranging toddler to teen. He knows sit, stay, shake, and is kennel trained.

Ms Lulu is quite the character! She is happy and funny and Loves to run and run. When she stops, she stops! She took over the house and yard the first day protecting and keeping all threats away from the fence. She is a snuggler and will sit on the couch and sleep in the big person bed or an open crate. She does prowl and protect through the night. She is house trained and uses a doggy door. Lulu is okay with small dogs but maybe no dog under 20lbs until proper intros are made - otherwise male or female dogs are fine. No idea about cats. She is a cattle dog and seems as if she may have been trained to herd beyond what comes natural? She got out of the gate once and was fine with the goat and chickens. Cattle and horses would be safe. She is an active working dog who would love an active lifestyle if you can provide it. She loves the water too. She will herd children by nipping on their heels so maybe a bit older children who understand that's just what her breed does and won't cry. She does pretty well on a leash, rides in the car like a pro, loves puppies because she was a mom a time or two. Her tongue hangs out and her jaw is a bit off (maybe birth defect or an injury) but it does not affect her appetite! She is spayed, HW negative and up to date on shots.
