Story
Milly is a Mini Red Tri Australian Shepherd. We acquired her from a friend who bought her brother in a litter. She is potty trained, and crate trained. Milly is trained to follow you off leash on a hike or a run. She can also follow basic commands. She has been on many trail runs and fishing trips. She's great at playing fetch and loves being outside. Milly will truly be right by your side like a best friend when she warms up to you and get's to know you. She is instinctually a very anxious and nervous dog. Her ideal situation would be a family with no young kids or other dogs or animals. Patience is key when getting to know her. Additionally, a yard would be helpful for her to run around daily. We are saddened to have to make this decision as she has shown a pattern of aggressive behavior towards our 2-year-old son. We have weighed our options and decided she needs a different environment to thrive.

A more playful and loving puppy would be hard to find! Curious about everything and gentle, Dorothy is everything a puppy should be. "Dottie" was removed from a dangerous situation into the safety of rescue. Now, she needs a forever family to give her that safe and loving place to spend the rest of her life. Her house training is coming along nicely but there will still be some training for the new family to do. Dottie will need to learn some "good dog" manners.

Story
This stunning guy is Misio, pronounced 'Misho' which is Polish for Teddy Bear. Misio is a 7.5 year old Australian Shepherd who is currently on a diet to get to his ideal weight of about 37 pounds. Misio is looking for a patient and mature household to live the rest of his years. He is working through some trust issues and is learning to let his guard down. But once he knows you are safe, he will be yours forever. Misio likes to be near people but isnt overly cuddly, he is content to be in his own space near you. He'd do best in a home with adults only and no other animals. Misio is still very active and he would love to be your hiking, camping, or running companion! He is very outgoing and loves to chase a ball around the yard. He is also very smart and picks up on training quickly. Misio needs a forever home that can provide him with mental stimulation and a physical outlet. He can be chill in the house, but is also not a couch potato. He is house trained and crate trained and walks well on leash. With a little bit of training, a dash of patience, and a person who will be active with him, Misio will be an amazing companion for years to come! Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Misio, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationNovember 8, 2024, 5:36 am

Story
Kayli came to her foster mom sick and at a very unhealthy weight. After a lengthy nutrition and weight loss program this adorable girl is ready to find her forever home! She was at a point where she could barely walk and now she loves a nice race around the backyard or to fetch her toys for you. She is a supreme cuddle bug and can't get close enough to her people. Tummy rubs might be her favorite thing and if you pet her she will adorably fling herself to the ground to better accommodate you. She loves walks but is also content to just stay home with you, too. She does have a problem with excited barking but she calms down after a short time. She just loves every single person she meets and can't control her excitement at first. She also loves children and children love her but because of her initial excited barking she can sometimes scare them so an initial leash greeting would be best with small children. She loves other dogs but if they get in her face too much she can sometimes be a little snippy. She has done well in her foster home with another older dog and, for a short stint, she had a blast with a big, goofy young boy that was recently adopted. Kayli has a 'cherry eye' (where the tear duct has popped out under the eyelid) that her owner chose not to fix as it doesn't bother her at all, but because of that it has been too long to do anything about it. It doesn't bother her and requires no attention. Would like to meet this cute girl?Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Story
Rusty is the absolute cutest little mixed breed puppy you've ever seen! At just 4 months, this brindle beauty is ready to steal your heart. Rusty is a puppy through and through - he's working on potty, crate and leash training, and has energy and snuggles to spare. Rusty is very playful and gets along well with other dogs, he would do well in a home with another dog to play with and show him the ropes. We haven't seen Rusty around cats, but he would likely do well with them given his sweet disposition. Rusty is treat motivated and has already learned how to sit - he's working on other basic training cues in his foster home. If you'd like to add Rusty to your pack, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. Rusty is microchipped and vaccinated, and potential adopters must agree to neuter Rusty in April. His adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationFebruary 21, 2025, 6:07 am

Story
Meet Calli – The Sweet & Smart Aussie Ready for Her Forever Home! Hi! My name is Calli, and I’m a three-year-old Australian Shepherd with a heart full of love and a calm, gentle spirit. I adore people and thrive on affection! While I don’t mind little kids, I’d be happiest in a home with older children who understand my need for a little space now and then. Believe it or not, I’m even good with cats! When it comes to other dogs, I can be a bit selective, so I’d do best as the only pup in the home—after all, I’d love to be the center of your attention! The good news? I’m fully crate trained and housebroken, so I already have great manners. I know my basic commands, and since I’m super smart (as all Aussies are!), I learn new things quickly. Whether it's lounging by your side or soaking up belly rubs, I’m happiest just being near my favorite people, enjoying all the love and snuggles I can get. I come fully vetted—spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccinations. Now, all I need is a family to call my own! If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and well-mannered companion, I might be the perfect match for you. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. Calli's adoption fee is $200. Please apply online at http://caws.org/adoption-application Thanks! Story
We are looking for a home that could accept our loving dog, Millie. She would do best in a home with a good backyard. She loves being outside. She will get along with other dogs but likes to be the center of attention. She is defensive of people when it comes to other dogs being aggressive. If she could play all day, she would. She primarily loves fetch. If you give her other toys she’ll want you to throw them. She will only bark if she is left alone without being played with first, otherwise she does not. We believe a backyard would solve this issue. Hopefully she will be a great addition to your family
