Story
Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 1/7/25 Dog Name: Ariel Sex: Female Estimated Breed Mix: Aussie mix Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: 40-45lbs Adoption Fee: $550 Description: Ariel is a sweet and loving girl who unfortunately found herself on the euthanasia list of a small town Texas shelter. Her beautiful smile and friendly demeanor tugged at many heartstrings, and she was lucky to make it out alive who is now settling in here in WI. She is friendly with all adults, but does show some insecurities. She is nervous around young children with lots of energy, so older and calmer children are recommended. She is great with other dogs and cats. This girl will snuggle up for a movie on the couch or would love to play and be active with her forever family outside! Ariel is experiencing some anxiety with the transition. We can only imagine what this sweet girl has endured before she was rescued. She might need gentle training and guidance to develop better self-confidence, but we don't anticipate it will take long with the right family. Ariel is quickly learning that she is safe now. She does great with recall and does amazing in the crate! She walks on a leash nicely with minimum pulling. She will need a gentle, consistent leader to build up her confidence and make her feel secure. She will blossom quickly and be the perfect companion for the right home. Ariel is a sweetheart who deserves a loving family to show her how a dog should be loved!      We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. January 7, 2025, 8:55 pm

Story
Meet Molly, a mini Australian Shepherd mix with a heart of gold. She was found wandering the streets of a rural Texas town, wearing another dog’s tags, but no one came to reclaim her. Instead of heading to a shelter, Molly settled into a loving foster home while she waits for her big journey to Wisconsin. Molly is a sweet, cuddly, and calm girl who adores both dogs and kids. She has a loyal spirit and a joyful personality that makes her an ideal match for first-time dog owners and families alike! If you’re looking for a gentle and loving dog who’s ready to bring the joy, Molly is your girl! FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.
