And you can’t have Goose without…Maverick! Maverick (male) and his brother Goose came to us recently after they were discovered living in a shed, where there were 12 dogs total. One of our amazing fosters offered to take him in…and now that they’ve left that life behind, Maverick is ready to land a forever family to spoil him in ways he never could’ve imagined! Maverick is a 1.5 year old Aussie (possibly border collie ‍) mix; he weighs-in right around 35-40lbs. He has the most stunning eyes and is a happy, ever-so-loving boy! He is crate-trained (& comfortable in his kennel) and potty-trained. He is new to leash walking, but is learning more every day. His forever family should continue to be diligent in working with him to build upon his leash skills. Maverick is a smart cookie! He picks up routine quickly, and also knows commands such as: no, off, leave it, and come/come on. He does wonderfully with other dogs, and although we cannot guarantee he’s cat-friendly…he did coexist with cats in his previous placement. This could definitely change once he transitions into a home environment [vs. the shed he used to live in], so unfortunately we just can’t promise he’d be ok with kitties! Maverick does just fine with respectful children, and overall is pretty laid-back for his younger age and breed.
