Story
We are looking to rehome our very loving 6.5 year old Australian Retriever as we have made the difficult decision that he is not the best fit for our home with a toddler and newborn. Hunter is a beautiful, high energy, and snuggly dog. He loves to play fetch, go hikes and long walks, play with his toy animals, and sit next to you on the couch for pets. Hunter, has been a wonderful part of our family. Unfortunately, a little over a year ago, he did snip at our crawling child and we have kept them separated since. It was a warning snip but we are not willing to risk a bite occurrence. We have recently welcomed another child and cannot confidently keep Hunter separated as our toddler grows increasingly interested in him. He is an amazing dog for those without little kids and we are hoping to find him a loving home that can be a better fit for him as we do not think it is fair to keep Hunter in his current environment. He has so much love to offer and will make someone so happy!

Story
Meet Brandy!Brandy came in as a surrender for not getting along with the other resident dog.Brandy is a sweet and intelligent dog who is looking for a very specific type of home. She experiences anxiety around new people and can express her feelings vocally. She needs a calm, predictable environment and an owner who is committed to positive reinforcement training and gradual socialization. Brandy would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home with a fenced yard. She is not suitable for apartment living or homes with frequent visitors. Experience with fearful or reactive dogs is strongly preferred. In her previous home she did live with a cat and was playful with them. She can be selective with dogs she interacts with but does play well with dogs she gets along with. Brandy is spayed and has received core vaccinations, flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you would like to meet or learn more about this beautiful pup please contact our adoption counselors at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org

Matilda (aka Tilly, TillyGirl, MaddieTilly, Maddie) Aussie Mix | UTD Looking for: An active, patient, and loving home! Matilda thrives in an athletic environment with someone who will balance her adventurous side with cozy cuddles afterward. A good hike, run, or outdoor adventure will keep her happy (and hopefully prevent her from snacking on your couch, chewing cords, or turning your socks into a mismatched collection). Personality & Quirks: • Friendly with dogs and cats (though she might try to play with kitties now and then). • Working on building her confidence—fast movements and new experiences can still make her nervous. • Loves attention and affection, but she’ll need time and space to grow into her best self. Skills & Training: • Bathed like a champ with a little help (leash in the tub = success!). • Stayed calm for nail trims with Lacey—progress! • Needs consistent basic training to unlock her full potential. Ideal Home: A home with plenty of patience, time, and space for Tilly to gain confidence and thrive. Someone who can balance her need for activity with reassurance and guidance will be her perfect match. With love, care, and a solid training routine, she’ll be the loyal adventure buddy you’ve been dreaming of!

Story
Hi there! My name is London, and I'm one of the lucky pups from the "Travel Litter." There were 10 of us in total, and now only 2 are left looking for our forever homes! We were originally surrendered to a kill shelter in Georgia as an unwanted litter, but thankfully, Mutt Life Dog Rescue rescued me and brought me up to Wisconsin. I’m currently being fostered in Watertown, WI, on a farm, and I’m absolutely thriving! I get along with chickens, other dogs, puppies, cats—you name it! I’m off-leash trained and nearly fully potty trained too. I’m a super playful and cute pup with a fantastic temperament. At our last meet-and-greet, I did wonderfully with all the other dogs and people. I’m just a happy, silly puppy who’s ready to find a forever home where I can share all my love and joy! One of my siblings who got adopted already, had a genetic test done and it showed a mix of aussie, Dalmatian, husky, pittbull, chow chow, and super mutt! If you're looking for a friendly, easygoing companion, I might just be the perfect fit! —--------------------------- Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is a summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. Story
Meet Denver, a lovable and friendly dog who’s ready to find his forever home! Denver has been in a foster home in Cedarburg, Wisconsin since he was rescued from a kill shelter in Georgia on 2/15/25. He’s been doing great and is now looking for the perfect family to call his own! About Denver: Denver is estimated to be around 1 to 1.5 years old. He was found as a stray in the woods of West Virginia before being brought to a shelter in Northern Georgia. Denver is super friendly with both people and other dogs, but he’s a bit too playful with cats, so a cat-free home would be best. He has a calm, even temperament, is mild-mannered, and walks well on a leash. Denver is house trained and is just an all-around good boy! He absolutely loves going for walks and is currently working on being off-leash with a reliable recall. Denver is very smart and eager to learn. It’s clear that he was once someone’s dog, but somehow got lost or abandoned. He deserves a loving home and will make an amazing companion for the right person or family! If you’re looking for a friendly, easygoing, and smart dog, Denver might be the perfect fit for you! __________ All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heart worm prevention, and are heart worm tested prior to adoption if age appropriate. __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 2/18/2025 Dog Name: Mikey Sex: Male Estimated Breed: Australian Shepherd mix Approximate Age: 12 weeks Estimated Date of Birth: Nov 27th - Dec 3rd Approximate Weight: 12-15 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Not yet neutered (too young) Description: Mikey and his siblings were rescued in Texas, but he was found later so our Texas rescue partners stepped in to help him! He’s absolutely perfect and sweet and loves to cuddle! He’s a really good puppy eager to please! Mikey has the cutest curly soft coat!  Adoption Fee: $550We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. March 6, 2025, 11:57 am
