My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Foster or Adopt Luna

Meet Luna, an 8 1/2-year-old sweetheart who’s been patiently waiting for her chance at a loving home. Over the past 18 months, this gentle girl has spent more time in a kennel than she ever should. It breaks our hearts, and we’re determined to change her story.

Yesterday, Luna joined us for a candle-making class, where she soaked up the peace and quiet, met new friends, and charmed everyone with her sweet demeanor. She’s thriving at events, loves her walks with volunteers, and even participates in pack walks (with a little space from other pups). Luna has come such a long way, proving just how adaptable and ready she is for a family of her own.

Why Luna Deserves a Home:
• Low-maintenance, medium-energy, and loves outdoor time—yard explorations, bird-watching, and sunshine are her favorites.
• Crate-trained, house-trained, and nondestructive—a dream companion!
• Loyal and loving, she adores her humans and makes the perfect copilot for life’s adventures.
• Prefers to be the only dog in the home, so she can shower her family with all her love.

Sadly, being a senior dog, a black dog, and needing to be the only pet makes finding a home for Luna even harder. These factors work against her, but we know there’s a special person or family out there who will see how truly amazing she is.

Despite her charm and sweet personality, Luna hasn’t received a single application in over a year. Fostering or adopting her won’t just change her life—it’ll also open up space for another dog in need.

Her little “teefies” and zest for life will steal your heart! To give Luna the forever home she so deeply deserves, please visit pittiesandpals.com to fill out an application today.

Let’s give Luna her happily ever after! Her adoption fee is sponsored!

More about this rescue

Pitties and Pals Rescue, Inc. is (a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit). Our mission is to rescue dogs and educate the public. Although our main focus is the bully breed, we are committed to all dogs in need. We believe RESCUE involves a multitude of approaches that includes liberating dogs from at risk situations, whether in a shelter or with an owner in need of assistance. While adoption is always the ultimate goal, we believe transitioning into foster care allows for socialization and training that are key components to a successful placement.

Pitties and Pals volunteers are also committed to changing the negative public perception of the Bully Breed. As such, we welcome opportunities to heighten awareness and enhance education in a public forum through our personal stories and positive experiences.
