Meet the Pet
Riley is a gorgeous brindle hound boy that wants to wiggle his way into your heart. He loves hanging out with people and playing with toys. He is great with other dogs too!
Riley was rescued from Duplin County shelter and now is learning what it is like to have his own warm bed all the time, When Riley first came here he couldn't walk on a leash. Now he is great at walking on a leash. He is all puppy and wants to run hard and play hard but is also good at being lazy when you want to be!
Riley is great at basic obedience. Riley walks in a really funny cute way. Instead of a normal walk he prances or runs. Riley does have some anxiety. He does NOT have seperation anxiety. His anxiety is during feeding time. We believe that the shelter feeding routine may have caused this issue. He gets all worked up, slobbering everywhere during feeding time. When he is done eating he is back to normal Riley.
Riley would love a home where he can cuddle and be pet all the time. He is fine being left home alone. He is HW negative, house trained and crate trained. Riley needs to be crate trained when left alone. Due to his puppy energy, he will find things to get into. Riley is a good boy wainting for his forever home.
