My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Cash, the lovable 6-year-old Hound/Pointer mix with a heart as big as his wagging tail! Cash is not just a furry friend; he's a smart and affectionate companion ready to bring joy to his forever home.

Cash is a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and even our feline friends. With his impeccable manners, he knows commands like sit, stay, and wait, showcasing his intelligence and eagerness to please. House-trained and capable of holding it in like a champ, Cash is a well-behaved canine companion.

His bond with his chosen person is unbreakable, and he'll shower them with loyalty and devotion. Cash may be a bit wary of new faces, but a proper introduction is all it takes for him to feel secure and welcome in his home.

When it comes to alone time, Cash may experience some separation anxiety, expressing his feelings through gentle whines, pacing, or the occasional bark. But fear not, as this can easily be managed with engaging activities that stimulate his mind and keep him happily occupied.

Cash has had his share of heartache, having experienced abandonment before. He was surrendered to a shelter and rescued before his time was up. Now, he's on the lookout for a forever home filled with love and understanding. If you're ready to open your heart to this incredible dog, Cash promises to be the outstanding friend you've been searching for. Don't miss out on the opportunity to make Cash a cherished member of your family and give him the love and stability he deserves.

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer rescue organization devoted to saving dogs from shelters, puppy mills, abusive situations and abandonment in North Carolina. Our members foster, transport and help the rescue efforts with their individual skills, experience, knowledge and expertise, and most importantly, their love of dogs.

At Pawfect Match Rescue we believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance regardless of their breed or age.

We take a different approach to rescue. We don’t try to save the masses; we just save ONE at a time and make them the best dog they can be by the time they find their forever homes.

By that we mean that we take them into our homes where they live amongst us and our pets and are treated as one of the family, not as a foster dog. We accomplish this by limiting our fosters to one or two per household.

Besides the basics of crate training and house training, we teach them basic obedience, we groom them, feed them a high quality dog food, and last but not least, we shower them with LOVE and attention that hopefully teaches them to trust again and realize that life really IS good..

We’ll never be able to save them all, no matter how many we try to pull and foster. So we believe that the one at a time approach with the extra TLC allows us to really KNOW the dogs and be able to match them more precisely with their new families.

This ends up being a win- win situation for all involved.

Pawfect Match is all volunteer and relies solely on adoption donation fees and public support. Most times our adoption donations do not cover our medical expenses.
