My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Must adopt with bond mate, Gunther

Hi, I'm VALERIE, the sweet and friendly bunny with a heart full of warmth and love! I'm totally okay with being held and just hanging out with my humans. I've got a friendly disposition that shines through, and I'm all about sharing that love. I have a bond mate named Gunther and we are the best of friends so we must be adopted together. We never fight or show any signs of aggression towards each other, just true friendship.

Food is definitely my thing – I'm a great eater and thoroughly enjoy my meals. Bananas, raspberries, lettuce, hay, parsley, cilantro, and dandelions – I love them all. When I'm feeling comfortable, my curious side takes over, and I love to run around and explore every corner of my surroundings. I can be a bit shy with new people, but bring out a banana or some tasty greens, and I'm your new best friend!

I take my litterbox habits seriously – about 80/20 when it comes to potty and poop, so you can count on me to keep things clean. I'm not one to cause destruction – I only chew on things that my foster gives me, and I know how to behave myself.

Although I haven’t interacted much with other animals, I'm totally fine with the sounds of the foster dogs. However, when those dogs actually come into the room, I tend to get a little jittery and scatter away – better safe than sorry, right?

I'm the friendliest and sweetest mama bear type – I may be tiny and fragile, but I've got a huge personality that shines through. I've got a special routine: I like to sit in my bowl and make Gunther move me to eat. It's one of my quirks that just adds to my charm.

As part of a bonded duo there has to be a boss and it's ME! YEP, I'm the boss but Gunther doesn't mind. He's the best friend in the world!

Life is so much better now that we're taken care of properly. It brings me so much joy to finally have a loving foster home where we're cherished. We are so looking forward to finding our forever home!

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs).  We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.

If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website:  http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com.  For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement.  Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
