Bellbottom Butter Blues is a resilient 19-year-old orange and white beauty with a heart full of love and an extraordinary set of thumbs-polydactyl x4, no less! This affectionate senior cat may have had a rough start, found stray and hungry, but she hasn't let that dim her playful spirit. Despite her age, Bellbottom still lights up for a good chase with a string toy, showing that she has plenty of spunk left in her. After playtime, she loves nothing more than to gobble down her favorite wet food and curl up close to someone who will offer her the affection she craves.
Although estimated to be 19 yrs old and having a few health challenges, Bellbottom doesn't let that get in the way of jumping on to the lap of her favorite human, or a sunny windowsill for a mid-morning nap. Bellbottom's foster mom reports that this sweet senior does daily aerobics running up and down the stairs and enjoys listening to music while using her cardboard scratching post or grooming herself. She is a good eater and uses the litterbox with no accidents. She is a good companion and would be happiest in a quiet home without other pets.

The Maryland SPCA connects wonderful pets to loving owners. We are not affiliated with any national animal organization, and we do not receive any government or United Way funding. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect of animals through fostering the humane relationship between animals and people. We operate primarily in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.
To make sure that our dogs and cats do not contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, every one is spayed or neutered before going into a new home. The cost is included in the adoption fee, as are the costs of shots and other necessary care. In addition, a free Positive Pooch class is available to our dog adopters.
There is no set time limit for how long an animal can remain in our adoption program. As long as an animal maintains general good health and a sound temperament, we keep him or her until adopted. We pride ourselves on providing premium care to the animals in a clean, pleasant environment. Our adoption staff works diligently to pair up adopters with the best animal match for their homes and lifestyles.
We transport animals from other shelters to our adoption center to help more animals get adopted. We also help pet owners find new homes for their pets so their animals don’t need to enter shelter care.
