Paxton in his kennel: https://youtu.be/CdWp_-RWFk8
Behavior Notes 12/7: Paxton is a shy baby, but came out of kennel willingly. She froze in kennel area once when a dog was barking heavily at her, but managed to move forward with a lot of baby talk from me. Once in the run she was pretty much glued to my side, too insecure to explore. She’d sniff the immediate area but did not want to be more than five feet from me. With pets, Paxton was stiff but accepted all over handling. She’d solicit more pets by pushing her nose into me or gently jumping up. Very sweet girl, just go slow.
Per staff 12/3: KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Paxton was in a crate used to space. She was curled up trembling and was very fearful. When the handler opened to leash her she got nervous and tried to bolt out of crate past the handler. Allowed for easy leashing still.
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls minimally, fearful
HANDLING:
In the room, Paxton was nervous but stayed close to all handlers in the room and followed us closely. She had soft eyes, a neutral body and low tail while walking around. She preferred to be higher up in the room and wanted to sit on chairs, tables, and the bench. She allowed all handling and was very tolerant, but did need a gentle approach- flinching away when moving too fast.
