My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Must adopt with bond mate, Copper

Hello there!  My name is Todd.  My brother Copper and I are an energetic and fun-loving duo that are bonded for life and seeking our forever home together.  We were found fending for ourselves under a shed in the middle of winter. I don’t know why someone wouldn’t want use, but nevertheless we were abandoned. A very kind lady in the neighborhood contacted Rabbit Rescue of MN because she was really concerned about us, and the rest is history.

Food is my love language. I am a very enthusiastic eater, and I haven’t met a green I don’t like. I enjoy swan diving into my food dish or my litter pan for tasty Oxbow pellets and fresh timothy hay. Treaty time is my favorite time of the day.  I get so excited when its time for food I can hardly contain myself.

I can be a rambunctious little man, so I love space to explore. I have skillfully mastered the art of binkies.  Give me space to run and watch me soar. I’m not afraid to walk and explore on hardwood floors, tile, or laminate, but I prefer to save my binkies and zoomies for floors that are not slippery.  It’s not as fun to binky and zoom when I slide all over. I also love to climb on my hidey box, dig in blankets, and shred cardboard. I get all of my pee and a lot of my turds in the litter box. I’m such a good boy.

I love attention from people and will come running to the door of my ex-pen and stand on my hindlegs to greet everyone.  I’m not a huge fan of being picked up, but I will accept snuggles and I love to hang out with humans on the floor.  Head pets are the BEST and I will take as many as you want to give.

We have been around cats and dogs, and with slow introductions, we don't mind them at all.

My brother and I were named after Copper and Todd from the Fox and the Hound. We are absolute best buddies and have stuck together through hardships and joys. I couldn’t imagine life without him. There is nothing I love better than a good snuggle and grooming session with Copper. He is such a good brother and we do everything together.

Copper and I had a rough start in life, but we know our forever family is out there who will love and care for us so we can’t wait to meet them.

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs).  We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.

If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website:  http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com.  For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement.  Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
