My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Nellie!

Just a few months ago, I was rescued from a lonely wire-bottom cage in a dark garage. Life was pretty rough back then, but now, every day feels like a fresh start!

I’m a bit shy when I first meet new friends, but once we’ve had a little time together, I’ll be right by your side, soaking up cheek rubs and gentle pets. One of my favorite things to do is follow my foster mom around—I’m like her tiny shadow! I also love lounging in her home office while she works. I guess you could say I’m a pretty loyal coworker.

Now, let’s talk about my favorite subject: food!  Food is totally my love language. Whether it’s snack time, mealtime, or salad time, I’m all in! I get extra excited for crisp romaine lettuce, fresh Italian parsley, and the occasional fruity treat like strawberries or papaya. And let’s not forget my daily hay—it’s simply the best for munching on all day long.

I’m also a very tidy lady with impeccable litter box habits, which makes me an excellent candidate for free-roaming life. Oh, and guess what? I’ve lived with dogs before, and they don’t bother me one bit!

If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow little lady to add to your family, I think we might just be the perfect match.  Fill out an application and let’s meet—I can’t wait to hop into your heart and home!

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs).  We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.

If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website:  http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com.  For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement.  Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
