Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Murphy! Murphy is an almost 5 year old male Border Collie mix who was owner surrendered to us due to his propensity to roam. He is a handsome, fuzzy guy who is approximately 60 lbs and has a cute curly tail and beautiful blue eyes. He is in need of a home who is will keep him contained by leash walking or having a tall/secure fence or utilizing a tether/tie out. He does great with other dogs, unsure about cats. Murphy is housetrained and keeps his kennel cleaned here. He would love to go home with his daughter Gracie who is also available for adoption, but they can leave separately depending on the home situation. His adoption fee is FREE due to a generous donor and he is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov, or stop by during our open business to meet him!!!

Kendall County Animal Control is the county agency responsible for enforcement of the state statutes governing rabies control in domestic companion animals. The State of Illinois requires that all dogs are vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. Compliance with this law is monitored through the issuance of rabies tags for all dogs residing in the county. All dogs are required to wear their rabies tags when off of the owner's property. If a pet is lost, rabies tags also provide an excellent means of identifying your pet.
Kendall County Animal Control also enforces the county's ordinance that prohibits dogs from running at large in unincorporated residential subdivisions, investigates reports of animal bites, and will pick up contained stray dogs in unincorporated Kendall County during operating hours. Stray and owner released cats and dogs may also be brought to the facility during business hours. Cats and dogs are available for adoption at the facility.
