Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Gracie! Gracie is a 3.5 year old female Border Collie mix who was owner surrendered to us due to her propensity to roam. She is a cute petite little girl who is approximately 45 lbs and has the cutest little curly tail. She is in need of a home who is will keep her contained by leash walking or having a tall/secure fence or utilizing a tether/tie out. She does great with other dogs, unsure about cats. Gracie is housetrained and keeps her kennel cleaned here. She would love to go home with her dad Murphy who is also available for adoption, but they can leave separately depending on the home situation. Her adoption fee is $150 and she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov, or stop by during our open business to meet her!!!

Kendall County Animal Control is the county agency responsible for enforcement of the state statutes governing rabies control in domestic companion animals. The State of Illinois requires that all dogs are vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. Compliance with this law is monitored through the issuance of rabies tags for all dogs residing in the county. All dogs are required to wear their rabies tags when off of the owner's property. If a pet is lost, rabies tags also provide an excellent means of identifying your pet.
Kendall County Animal Control also enforces the county's ordinance that prohibits dogs from running at large in unincorporated residential subdivisions, investigates reports of animal bites, and will pick up contained stray dogs in unincorporated Kendall County during operating hours. Stray and owner released cats and dogs may also be brought to the facility during business hours. Cats and dogs are available for adoption at the facility.
