Ariel is a beautiful 2-year old female Tuxedo kitty who was fending for herself in the Marietta Ohio area and depending upon the kindness of good people in the neighborhood. Fortunately for Ariel, she befriended one of those Good Samaritans who took her in and provided a temporary foster home for Ariel until she could find a home of her very own.
This lovely young lady has a black-and-white short smooth coat in a tuxedo pattern, a long tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, a white stripe on her muzzle/forehead, a patch of black on the left side of her muzzle with a patch of white on the right side of her muzzle, and long white whiskers.
Her foster mother provided this information about Ariel (in her own words) which we loved....
"Ariel can be very energetic and affectionate with wanting petting or head rubs (although she may not choose to be a lap kitty). She looks and acts very healthy and has glossy black hair with a white bib and four white paws. Ariel is not fussy with eating and enjoys some Fancy Feast Tuna, Purina Naturals, or Purina Pro Plan dry food as well as Iams dry food for hairballs.
Ariel gets along with the other cats but sometimes plays too rough with the boys (who don't mind). She has not been around dogs or children, so she may be afraid of them. Ariel can be mischievous in some ways, but is starting to calm down as she matures. She is an indoor-only cat.
Ariel seems to be a little 'tom boy' in her attitude/behavior and can be a little rambunctious with chasing/batting at some of the boy kitties .. And sometimes nipping one's hand out of playfulness. She enjoys climbing on cat trees/perches as well as looking out windows. She will follow you around, jumping on countertops to get petted. She is very neat and faithfully uses a litterbox."
Ariel has been spayed and has also been combo tested. She is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm.
Ariel has been dewormed and has had monthly flea treatment (Advantage Multi). She is up-to-date with all vaccines including boosters and rabies vaccine.
This little sweetheart currently weighs 8.6 lbs.
These updated photos of Ariel were taken on January 4, 2025 while she posed in our 'studio' like a super model for Cat Fancy Magazine.
Ariel is ready for find a fabulous home of her very own. If you would like to meet Ariel and see if she might be 'the girl of your dreams', please complete/submit an HSOV adoption application.
Update: Her foster mother brought Ariel to HSOV on January 4, 2025 since she felt Ariel would be adopted more quickly if potential adopters could see her in person and discover her wonderful personality.
Three of Ariel's companions Sox aka Socrates, Spock, and Sulu were also brought the HSOV and are looking for loving homes.
Ariel is currently sharing a double-wide cage with Sulu (neutered male Tuxedo) in our Jungle Room. Naturally they would love to find a home together.
