Behavior notes:
01/21/25 volunteer notes: I love my wiggly butt buddy! He was so excited greeting me in his kennel with his cute little sweater and couldn’t wait to get outside. We ran around to get some energy out and he really enjoyed playing with a stuffed toy. He is the sweetest boy who needs to get out of this shelter and thrive in his furever home. I just love him.
1/16/25 Per Foster: Sylvester is the cutest most cuddly buddy in the world. He loves people so so so much! He does have a tiny bit of separation anxiety so he hates when you leave him alone even if it’s just closing the door to use the restroom. He LOVES walks and we were even working on stay with me so he wasn’t pulling on the leash and rather loose leash walking was super proud of him! He also knows sit. He is super food motivated he loves a good treat and his engagement dog food bowl! Generally the best puppy in the world sadly I have to bring him back :( love him so so much ❤️
per staff 1/13: Sylvester did two dog meets today and was a very good boy! He very obviously wanted to play and unfortunately neither dog was too interested in playing back but he took it well, just letting out some whines. He is very treat motivated and loves to catch them! He was a bit jumpy getting out of his kennel but still fairly easy to leash, and no issues returning.
per volunteer 1/13: Sylvester loves treats! He’s not shy and will check your pockets for more treats! He’s very thin with prominent bones and I was happy to give him all of my treats. He took them gently and did sit for them.
Outside Sylvester seems to be a wiggly puppy. He is friendly and allows all pets and leans in!
Sylvester saw another dog and was happy to say hello through the fence.
He’s a friendly little guy!
1/12/25 volunteer notes: Spent time with Sylvester 1/12. We had no issues in or out of the kennels, and he was very excited to be going on a walk. He learned quickly where my treat pouch was and definitely was able to steal a few before I could stop him, no issues with removing him from the treat pouch. He’s an absolute sweetheart and was very excited to play with that Fries stuffy! He loved bringing it to me to see it as well then going back to running around the yard with it. ! He saw a dog through the fence, did some sniffs then continued on his way - he’s a very good boy!
1/12/25 volunteer notes: Sylvester is such a happy and energetic pup! He is so full of energy and couldn’t wait to get out of the kennel and get some fresh air. He’s a skinny little fella but that doesn’t slow him down. He loves treats and getting pets. Truly a joy to be around!

KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Sylvestor was on the backside of his kennel for cleaning and was sitting curled up by the divider. He began to wag when he saw the handler and came to the front. HANDLING :
In the room Sylvestor was friendly and well mannered with all staff. He pranced around with soft eyes, mid level wags, and solicited from both of us. He allowed all over handling without any issues and leaned against us as we pet him. He showed knowledge of sit as well and overall was gentle with treats but when excited could be a bit snatchy!
