Behavior notes:
01/15/2025 volunteer notes: I approached Maya lou’s kennel and she was supper wiggly and jumping up. I opened the kennel door and had no problems getting her out as she jumped right out of her kennel. Maya lou was nervous walking through the kennels and as we got through the door before going outside she pancaked on me. I tried coaxing her to go outside but ultimately she did not want to go outside. She did allow me to pick her up but I could tell she was really uncomfortable outside so I brought her back in. Going back to her kennel she was very loose and wiggly but again as I got to her kennel she pancaked on me again. This time she pulled back on the leash and really showed she did not want to go back in. Treats were thrown in her kennel and I tried coaxing her in but she did not want to go in. Another staff member approached me and I told her what was going on and she helped me get her back in her kennel. We did pick her up to put her back in. Shes a really sweet girl just nervous I hope that maybe next time she will open up a little more! I did ask staff and we did bump her up to blue.
